It was during Summer of 2012, I joined the annual Unity games in our Community and after the games, even if I used a sunscreen my skin got really red and super dark and you can really see the not just tan but super dark lines. I thought my skin would stay that way. It took a lot of whitening soap and lotions to bring back my natural color.

ReplyDeleteThe worst would be dry skin and sunburn! I tend to burn easily as my skin is very light. That one time I went out to swim for a while, I burnt my shoulders, back and face so much they were all stiff the night after. The next day, I couldn't even wear makeup because my skin dried up like a leaf. :( I looked horrible as I sported dry, sunburnt and flaky skin for a week or two because of it. :(
ReplyDeleteThe worst sun-related skin care problem I ever encountered is SUNBURN and rashes! I love beach but I hate that I always suffer from sunburn and rashes. :(
ReplyDeleteMe and my two daughters are using celeteque products long before up to the present ,hope to win, thanks.

ReplyDeleteThe worst was when I was little. I enjoyed the beach way too much that the sun really burned my skin. I suffered from fever a couple of hours later and my mom's lotion helped me recover from the peeling. Ouch.

ReplyDeleteThe worst sun problem i ever had when i had a sunburn on my back :(
ReplyDeleteThe worst was one enthusiastic beach trip to Subic. I stayed out from 7am to 4pm and before I even went to bed, my skin had started peeling. My skin went from very fair to kayumanggi in one day. That wasn't as bad as the pain though. Any movement that stretched my skin even a little bit stung so bad. Even aloe hardly helped. Needless to say, I was stranded in the room for the rest of the trip.
ReplyDeletesunburn on my shoulders, back and forehead. one time, the heat was so unbearable, i almost fainted. these celeteque sun care would really help avoid sun-related skin problem to occur. perfect giveway this summer!

Around 16 summers ago, me and my cousins went swimming. We we're too young back then and didn't know what sunscreen was. We stayed in the water as long as we can. When we got home, I noticed that my nose and back was burnt and my arms had rashes. It was too painful and ugly at the same time.

ReplyDeleteit happened when we went to a beach in batangas, at first i still enjoyed swimming under the sun. i stayed there swimming from lunch up to sunset. when i had a shower at night and while I'm drying myself, the burning sensation started. I really looked "tustado" when I faced in the mirror the next morning. And it took a long time to heal and one of the bad part of the story is that since I have morena skin,It took a looooong time to recover my original skin back again. From that day, I never went to any swimming outings may it be in a pool or in a beach :p (natrauma xD)
ReplyDeletei just got sunburned! and it left undesirable marks on my skin.

ReplyDeleteI may say it's not the worst sun skin problem because I had only mild sunburn when I'm in high school age when my family and I went to the Manaoag beach in Pangasinan. I stayed long time swimming even if the sun rays was very strong. I just enjoyed the beach and after that, my skin was sunburn and my complexion was not even. The sunburn on my face was mildly painful but bearable. After a month, my complexion came back to its color. Every time I go to swimming, I'll always put sunblock all over my body and face so that I will experience anymore what happened to me before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway...congrats in advance on your baby boy ^_^

ReplyDeleteI got my skin badly sunburned in 2008 during an extra-curricular event in college... it took me more than a month just to lighten my skin (about 1 shade lighter) when it darkened. >.< I don't really like being light-skinned because I get more sensitive to the sun compared to people who have medium to dark skin tone. That's why it's a must that I wear sunscreen every time I go out.

ReplyDeleteIt was 2006 when I first had my not-so-hot summer beach experience in The Netherlands. It was nothing like the summer her in the Philippines so I skipped on my sunblock thinking it's just okay. The following day my skin was all red and painful from sunburn. From that, I learned my lesson to always put sunscreen protection even if it's not too sunny outside.
ReplyDeletei've got my face and shoulders freckles because of sun burn (i believe so) but due to treatments it heals naman and i won't do that mistake again :(

ReplyDeletesunburn due to swimming...
ReplyDeleteProbably last July where we had a volleyball tournament. I did not expect us to reach 5 sets because we were confident that we can defeat our opponent by 3 sets straight. So I did not apply sunblock. We were playing in an open field and I got baked. It was embarrassing to look at all the photos I was in after that game. It took a long time to get back to my natural skin color. From then, I keep on reminding myself to apply sunblock no matter how short or long the game took.

ReplyDeleteWhat I consider as the worst skin problem that I was just last year when we had a hiking in Mt.Batulao which my skin got dry then we went on a nearby beach and there I had sunburn. It was really very awful and uncomfortable, from which the lesson that I learned is to always use a better product that would really protect your skin.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I can recall, the worst one that I had was when we had a hiking at Mt. Batulao last year that had caused my skin to dry on my hands and arms, plus my face, hands and arms went dark (a bit of sunburn too) as I got exposed to the sun from 10am to 3pm.
ReplyDeleteIt was too awful and uncomfortable which the lesson that I had learned is to use a reliable product that would really protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

It was a lesson learned to check on the weather of your destination before leaving. During that time (October 02)Manila was hit by typhoon Ondoy and weather here was so bad so i completely assumed that Palawan must be cloudy also and it is safe not bring sun block but but !!! to my surprise upon arriving at Puerto PrinCesa Palawan airport the sun was shinning so bright and the next thing i know was i fell in love with the majestic island and beaches Honday had offered so i swim and did snorkling and island hopping not caring about my skin and presto after the activity i had a SUN BURN to the highest level.

ReplyDeleteThe worse sun-related skin problem I had were sunburn, uneven skin tone and dry skin and lips. It was when I was around 13 years old when I first experienced this. I had so much fun swimming and playing by the beach. Prior to that, I used sunblock to protect me. Unfortunately for my young skin, I neglected to reapply sunblock. So, when I returned to Manila, I was so dark-skinned (as in super dark!)and really wrinkly. Days after that, I was peeling like crazy! I also felt itchy afterwards. Since then, I started being cautious when it comes to swimming outdoors. =D
ReplyDeleteLesson learned?
Having fun in the sun is good, but you gotta care for your skin's health, too! ^__~
