Lily Lolo Corrector Review

Do you still remember my event post early this month on the new product offerings from Beauty Bar?  (you can refresh by clicking HERE).

One of the many brands they launched is called Lily Lolo.

With ALL the different makeup brands popping up, what makes Lily Lolo different from the others?

Let me mention a few for you!

First, Lily Lolo is made with LOVE, without Harmful ingredients.  Their products are made using only ingredients that are proven to nourish and protect the skin so no parabens, phthalates, synthetic perfumes, dyes, etc...  They are also cruelty-free so if you have very sensitive skin, you may want to look into this brand.

Second, Lily Lolo is created with different women in mind from all walks of life! No matter what your skin color is, your age, you'll get something for you!   That explains the wide array of shades available when I took a peek at the recent launch.

Lastly, the products are housed in a very simple yet nice packaging making it visually gorgeous to look at and easy to use even for first time makeup wearers!  I would say, in my point of view, this makeup line is perfect not just for personal but also for professional use!

With that intro, let me share to you my review on my first Lily Lolo product.  I got my eyes set on this Corrector in shade PeepO.  There are a total of 2 shades to choose from, the other one is called Blush Away.

Lily Lolo says --- (from website)

Our multi-tasking Corrector expertly covers and conceals blemishes and redness with Blush Away or dark circles and pigmentation with PeepO. You will be amazed at the staying power of such a soft delicate loose powder.

For MMU (Mineral Makeup) lovers out there, this packaging will bring back so many GOOD memories!  The sifter is "lockable" which I like because I can travel with it without having to worry about mess!

The powder is fine and is yellow.  When you know your makeup, you'll know yellow correctors are there to help brighten up "dark" areas.  That said, this is a perfect corrector for the undereye area and if you have fair skin, this can work as your overall face powder and this can brighten up your complexion in the most natural and subtle way!

Tip: The deeper the yellow, the more effect it'll give in "correcting" dark areas.  Since this is a lighter yellow shade, the effect will be subtle.

You can apply this with an eyeshadow brush or in my case, I like to apply more in one go so I am using a sponge (Althea Meringue Sponge).

Before and After

If you look at it at once, you won't see any effect, but if you look closely, you'll see that the Lily Lolo Corrector lightened up the dark areas near my waterline (see the dark puff that was blurred?)  Best of all, instead of sitting on lines and enhancing it, it actually "shortened" my wrinkle line in a magical way!  Notice that?  That said, it decreased my "age" big time!

After trying this out for almost a month in various occasion, I would say the best way to use this is after your concealer application, I like to use my favorite liquid/cream concealer and set it with Lily Lolo Corrector in PeepO, it gives a more even and flawless finish.  But , on days I don't need to put a lot of makeup and just depend on face powder, I'll use this alone on the undereye area before setting with a powder foundation and I'm good to go!

I know these types of loose powder makeup is the last thing on your mind right now with all the brands out there.  But will you give such brand a try after seeing the results?
I highly recommend this brand especially for those with sensitive skin!  Head on to the nearest Beauty Bar and check them out and let me know your thoughts!
