AMW Reviews: Elianto Cream Concealer

When I gave Elianto Store at SM The Block a visit, the Elianto Cream Concealer with a sign of "Cosmo Beauty Awards" caught my attention, I told myself I have to give it a try no matter how many concealers I currently own.  If it won an award, it's worth to give it a try considering the price isn't bad at all!

Elianto Cream Concealer says ---
This soft concealer cream has high and long-wearing invisible coverage for skin's imperfections and discolourations. Water -resistant, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. Enriched with Mineral Oil, It effectively covers dark circles and blemishes. It can be applied with brusher, a latex sponge, or the fingertips.

Available in: Medium, Dark and Deep
Made in: Korea

AMW says ---
Pros
  • very creamy
  • though creamy texture, does not oil up the whole day
  • a little is enough
  • medium to heavy coverage
  • coverage is build-able
  • inexpensive
  • feels light
  • nice packaging and easy to take along
Cons
  • can sit in fine lines if skin is not moisturized enough
  • quite tricky to apply, needs a lot of practice
  • limited shades available
Overall

If you're looking for heavy coverage concealer that's inexpensive, this is the one to watch out for. This deserve the award because it does cover spots, redness, under eye circles but I have to repeat that moisturizing is really needed especially if you have lines or dry skin like myself.  It is a bit tricky to apply at first but given the practice, you'll get the hang of it.

Tips
  • apply using patting motion, never rub especially the under eye area
  • if your skin is dry, apply moisturizer first, let it absorb, then go with foundation then concealer
  • test on testers before purchasing
  • if you are using this mainly to cover dark circles, choose the concealer shade that has distinct orange tone.  Medium works really well for under eye circles.
  • store in cool dry place
  • try to clean your hands prior to dipping your hand on this product for hygiene purposes.  For makeup artists, use a spatula in picking the product.
  • I prefer warming the concealer on my hand first prior to application so the texture goes creamier and easier to apply
  • stop usage if allergies or skin irritations occur
  • purchased this product and found out it doesn't work for you?  Give it to a friend and make them happy!
Will I repurchase?
Not for myself, for my makeup train case, my skin is a bit dry so the concealer sits in lines.  I'll use this for oily skinned clients!

Where to purchase and how much?
At Elianto stores for Php399.00 (approx $8.70) for 6grams

Here's step by step on how I applied my Elianto Cream Concealer
1. Applied concealer using my ring finger with a dabbing motion
2. dab continuously until concealer sets and covered dark area/redness
3. set with your favorite setting powder
4. stand back and check if there are any uneven colors

AMW Reviews: Elianto StayOn Eyeliner Pencil 01 Black

Elianto, the brand, is actually one of the most confusing brand I've known based on its origin.  It's originally founded in Malaysia, but with all the Korean writings, most people have mistaken it for a Korean brand.  And what's even more confusing?  "Elianto" is derived from the Italian word meaning "sunflower" and some of their products are actually made in Italy!

I just shrug my shoulder!  What's more important for me is to try on their products and report to you which ones I like!  Seriously, the brand did not fail to impress me!

I've been a constant gel liner user and "reviewer" because I love the pigmentation it gives.  Most pencil liners are easy to use but I am not impressed with the color and pigmentation.  Lo' and behold!  I've finally found a pencil liner that performs...just like my trusted gel liner!  Read on and see for yourself!

Elianto StayOn Eyeliner Pencil says ---
A quick-drying, long-wearing waterproof liquid water-based eyeliner creates and enhances a deep eye line. Available in Pen and Liquid form

Available in: Black, Shimmer White and Glitter Gold
Made in: Italy

AMW says ---

Pros

  • very pigmented, one swipe is enough
  • true black that I want in a gel liner
  • glides on smoothly, does not tug my lids
  • very inexpensive
  • no need to look for an eyeliner pencil sharpener, comes in with free sharpener

  • waterproof
  • does not smudge
  • stays the whole day
  • very easy to use, perfect for first-time eyeliner users
  • can be easily removed with your favorite eye makeup remover

  • includes manufacturing date, which makes it easier for me to gauge if it's time to throw it out!

Cons
  • limited shades!  I'd love to purchase this in true brown!
  • not widely available especially for international readers
  • when applied on waterline, it fades in the middle of the day
Overall
To those readers who emailed me for the best pencil liner that does not break the bank?  This is the one!!!

Tips
  • never tug your eyelid during eyeliner application, go one stroke at a time
  • after sharpening your eyeliner, make sure to clean the sharpener with a cotton bud before putting it back
  • sharpen the eyeliner before doing the "winged" liner look
  • during application, try not to roll this liner all the way up to prevent from splitting in two

Will I repurchase?
Yes!  Will stock up on this!

Where to purchase and how much?
Locally at Elianto stores for Php199.00 (approx $4.33)

Swatch on hand, thin line swiped once and thick line swiped 2x

Right photo with flash

Waterproof test - does not smudge when wet
Photo below: Rubbed 3x while wet, minimal smudging

Rub test
Rubbed my hand so hard before the liner disappeared a bit
What I like about this liner is that it disappears instead of creating dirty smudges

Applied on one eye
Very pigmented and love the true black color
it does look like Gel Liner right?

I've found the one!  And what I love most about this?  It's very inexpensive!

AMW Reviews Elianto Polishes

I've owned several brands of polishes but I haven't gotten the chance to really review them because, I have to admit, they are part of the "Unsung Heroes".  I've used them a lot but I never thought of giving them the time of the day or a special post for them.  So here it is!  Better late than never right?

One of the most recent polish brand I've tried is from Elianto.  From my Elianto shopping experience.  I've picked up 2 polishes from the brand.  One transparent and another one is Turquoise (thanks Sophie for helping me pick up this shade)

After usage, I can give a brief review on the most recent Elianto Polishes I own.

Turquoise and Transparent

Elianto Nail Color says ---
Show off your beautiful nails and toes with our selection of radiant shades that glide on smoothly onto nails to deliver beautiful, long lasting, chip-resistant colors.

AMW says ---
Pros
  • has so many shades to choose from
  • shades are unique

  • inexpensive as compared to other brands
  • color lasts for 3-4 days, with top coat, can last up to a week
  • dries up like regular polishes, approximately 15 minutes above for 2 coats
  • the polish does not dry up easily as long as you store them well
  • does not turn my nails yellow instantly as long as I have base coat on
  • packaging is simple yet I love how it was labeled with number and shade name

Cons
  • the brush, I find local brands have better brush
  • some shades are quite sheer, need to apply 3-4 coats
Overall
Elianto is known for their wonderful polish shades from regular to party shades!  I personally like them because of the price and its quality.  I don't have to pay a lot to get good quality polishes. I have to clarify though that hat not all shades have the same pigmentation and consistency!

Tips
  • store polishes in cool dry place
  • never shake the bottle, gently roll them between the palm of your hands instead
  • since not all of the shades are of the same consistency, do test out their testers, they have acetone anyways
  • always use base coat to protect your nails on all polish application
Will I repurchase?
Yes

Where to purchase and how much?

At Elianto stores for Php99.00 (approx $2.00)

Elianto Matte Berry Lipsticks Review

Early this month, I was lucky to have the chance to get to know more about the brand Elianto, I was on a lipstick phase when I got into their store at Trinoma (I still am by the way) and the Matte Berry lipstick line, as I was told was just launched recently and the name "berry" itself gives a sense of fun fun fun!  Thanks to my dearest friend Sophie of Beautynomics for her lovely arm swatch and it wasn't hard for me to decide on which shade I want!

AMW Reports: Getting Intimate with Elianto

I got an invited for a nice dinner with the people of  Elianto and 5 other lifestyle and beauty bloggers.  I am very excited because the brand Elianto isn't new to me.  I've purchased a couple of their makeup palettes, nail polishes and lashes.  It was an intimate discussion about standards, evolution and trends of the beauty industry and it was at Kimono Ken Restaurant at The Block.

An informal discussion about beauty over a hearty meal, is such a perfect combination.  I learned so much about the brand, I thought I knew it all!  Elianto offers so much more than the nail polishes I knew!  We went straight to Elianto Boutique right after dinner and I am amazed that there are so much more they offer!  I guess I wasn't paying much attention as I always go straight to the nail polish section!

Did you know that?
Elianto is a fresh, young brand of skin care, cosmetics and makeup products from Malaysia. The name means "sunflower" in Italian - a representation of a unique world of beauty comprised of an irresistible range of high quality, naturally-inspired skin care and makeup at affordable prices.

Elianto has a wonderful "makeover area", so girly, I swear it's every little and big girls' dream to have this inside their room!

I walked around the store like a real "beauty tourist" and found myself staring at one of their bestsellers  --- Elianto Miracle White BB Cream.  I regret that I did not purchase this as I have several friends who swore by this!

Lipsticks and lip glosses

They are proud of the new lipstick line they recently launched, the Matte Berry Lipsticks, matte in color but very moisturizing when applied.

Thanks to my dear friend Sophie of Beautynomics for doing the swatch and thanks for sharing your arm!  Which shade number caught your attention?

The gorgeous eye shadows from matte to shimmer!  It looks like water colors from afar!  The eye shadows are mostly pigmented and the colors are overwhelming!  Would you believe they have bright RED matte eye shadow?  Anyone studying makeup would appreciate this wide range of colors!

Gorgeous eyeshadow pencils!  Reminded me of the NYX Jumbo pencils!

Another swatch on all the eyeshadow pencils, thanks to Sophie again for the swatch and the arm :)

Different blushes and bronzers!  They have "stamping" blush too!

My favorite makeup palettes from Elianto!
I love creating my own palette and personalize it with my style!

AMW Reviews: Elianto Aqua Shadow

Happy Friday the 13th!  The day could sound eerie to some but I like Friday!  I will be reviewing a cute liquid eyeshadow which I got from sweet blogger friend!  She sent me these together with other gifts for my birthday last February!

Elianto Aqua Shadow says ---

Shimmery liquid eye shadow. Long lasting, and natural.
Brush on with Tip applicator above eye lids for shinny make up look.

AMW says ---

Pros
  • very vibrant and shimmery shades
  • inexpensive
  • dries quickly
  • great to use as eyeshadow base to make the e/s more vibrant
  • cute packaging and can easily see the shades

Cons
  • if lids are oily , can crease up
  • quite difficult to blend because it dries pretty quickly
  • hate shimmery shadows?  Leave this!
  • not hygienic to use for others
  • you can't use everything as it tends to dry up before you finish this up
  • packaging is cute but you can't stand it up (for people who wants this standing up)

Overall

The Elianto Aqua Shadows have been around for quite some time, I haven't given them much time of the day because the shades are quite vibrant and I don't use much vibrant eyeshadow especially at work.  Thanks to Dustbunny I was able to try this and share my opinion on this for others who are planning to purchase this.

Overall, the Elianto Aqua Shadow is a liquid base eyeshadow that finish up as powder, application isn't hard with the applicator that comes with it, I find the packaging is cute but impractical because I find the shape a bit difficult to store in a traincase, I wanted this to stand upright during application, and I want to reach out all the product with the wand!  And of course, this is not Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) so there's no surgery needed for this packaging.  (Dangerous and not worth it!)

Who needs this?  YOU, who are into vibrant eyeshadows.  YOU, who owns a couple of colored eyshadows that doesn't come out nice!  This is an ok product, not fantabulous and not bad either!  This is actually a great 'addition' for makeup this.

Tips
  •  if you plan to use this for other people, make sure to use a brush instead of the applicator included for hygienic purposes
  • shade well prior to usage
  • dot the aqua eyeshadow quickly on the lids then blend with fingers
  • use your ring finger to blend gently!  Do not tug your lids
  • close the cap tightly to prevent the product for drying up
Will I repurchase?

For their full retail price?  No.  If they're on sale...like right at the moment...yes!

Where to purchase and how much?

At Elianto stores or counters for Php169.00 (approx $3.70) but guess what?  They are on sale NOW for Php95.00 (approx $2.00) at SM malls
