AMW x Skin Perfect Gives: Happy 13th Year Anniversary ADM Products

It's a "-ber" month, it's Friday....and guess what, it's just a random day that I want to make YOU feel happy again and again!

When I created this blog, I told myself I wanted to help other people in my own way, that's when I created the blog "Ask me what's...." why AskMeWhats?

I've been asked that question so many times I've finally decided to set my FOOD *ahem* FOOT down and tell you a quick yet sweet story!  During "Friendster" days, there is an account called "Taong Grasa" (I'm not sure if you knew or heard about this) but this person is so nice in helping people by giving advices online.  Since I'm the "Mommy" of my friends as they always come to me for a hand, shoulder, arms and legs to lean on :P , I've decided to create a blog, a confidential one to help give solutions or if I can't give any...at least cheer people up!  Who would've thought I ended up giving beauty-related advices?

To keep the long story short, my blog may have shifted direction from an advise blog to a beauty blog, my mission holds true until today, to keep readers happy, to keep readers in-the-know, the let them know they are not alone when they are going through difficulties in life!  It helps to vent I tell you!  It really does, and to have someone listen to you whether you know them or not, is such a huge help for me that's why I'm returning the favor by at least sharing some simple joys!

(Ang haba ng intro ko! hahaha)

So to keep the long story short, I have a giveaway!  (ayun lang pala! hahaha)  But before I do so, let me tell you about a skin clinic called Skin Perfect, I have seen them around and I actually treated my mom and dad facial services there in the past, but would you believe they have been around for exactly 13 years?  That proves how good they are in what they do!

I recently got an invite to attend their 13th year anniversary "Me-Time" activity at Robinsons Magnolia, but since I'm a mommy (with NO yaya) and my schedule is always crazy (translate: Depending on Baby Kyle's mood or if someone can look after him) , it was unfortunate that I wasn't able to attend and celebrate with them!  Thankfully, Skin Perfect was kind enough to let me visit them the next day and even acknowledged my request to have something for my readers!  I'll tell you more about it later on!  You have to bear with my stories :P  It's a requirement! *laughs*

Something New: Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine

Last Tuesday, I was invited to the media launch for #AgentZeroShinePH at Manila Yacht Club!  It was an invite I don't want to miss!  Though I am on the extreme dry skinned side, one of the most purchased products for me as a Professional make up artist are oil-control products!  My clients are mostly on that skin type!  I've been a loyal user of Benefit's Porefessional Balm and my clients can attest to that!  It does help lessen the appearance of pores and you can check out my review and before and after photos HERE.

Since Agent Zero Shine is part of the Porefessional line, I knew I had to be there to know the secret for a perfect shine-free face!

We were all aboard the yacht at 6:30pm as we were greeted by Agent Zero Shine herself, Ms. Annie Ford Danielson!  The event was hosted by the pretty Spy Gal Ms. Maggie Wilson.

AskMeMom: Johnson's Baby Signature of Love Videos

A couple of weeks ago, I shared my very own SOL (Signatures of Love) announcing to the world my way  of showing unconditional love to my dear Baby Kyle!  I always have this mini conversation with Mr. AMW telling him how much I wish Kyle would have a recollection of the memories we had from newborn up to the present.  It must be my hormones going melodramatic but I'm glad Mr. AMW always has answers to every situation I'm in!  He told me that the mini kisses, gazillion hugs and one-sided conversations I had with Baby Kyle may mean nothing to the entire universe but it means everything to our little one!  It's a bond between me and my baby and it's a connection only a mom and baby would know!

Mr. AMW is right!  Kyle reacts to all my "gigil" moments with him!

If you ask me, YES, I currently have thousands of photos of Kyle's different facial expressions and I'm sure mommies out there can relate!  Who wouldn't melt seeing our little ones reacting to our different Signatures of Love?

Eureka Moment: Brush Guards

Hi AMW Friends!  I posted about The Brush Guard 4 years ago and I got it from online shopping!  Honestly speaking, I have been using them for 4 long years now and loving them to bits!  The problem though, my brushes are increasing in number but I didn't get to increase the number of my brush guards!  Why?  Well, I'm too lazy to shop online (internationally) again as the waiting game is too much and I have to pick ALL my packages at the Local Post Office, that's difficult considering I have a day job!

So yup, it was only me and 6 pcs. Brush Guards for 4 long years, it was a wonderful relationship between us but I would like to have a "third party" to spice up our relationship *laughs*

Thankfully, because of Sample Room, I got to know Charm Brush Guards!  (Shame on me I didn't get the time to browse the Beauty & Minerals site as I will definitely purchase this early on if I have known!)

EUREKA MOMENT!

AMW Wears: Post Pregnancy Fashion

Happy Monday AMW Friends!
To jump start the week, let me talk about something else aside from makeup.  This post is basically meant for my mommy or pregnant readers who are excited to meet their bundle of joy!

Let me tell you honestly that during my pregnancy, I didn't have ANY problems finding the right clothes to wear!  I guess with the 5 long months of morning sickness, I didn't gain as much weight only until the latter part of my pregnancy when my tummy and the rest of my body ballooned like there's no tomorrow!  But it was easy to pull out a loose dress or loose shirt as you know you won't be judged!  Let's be honest, when you're pregnant, you look cute whatever you wear and people are more forgiving!  :P

Now, the real problem arises AFTER giving birth!  It was less than a month when I took Baby Kyle for his first checkup and it was a cartoon moment for me (Big eyes, huge perspiration on forehead, gasping mouth) ---- HELLO BOOBS!  HELLO FLABBY ARMS AND TUMMY and WELL WELL WELL...HIPS... I didn't know you can get THIS BIG!

So I've decided to create this post for soon-to-be-mommies out there so you won't get the shock of your life the way I did! :P

P.S. I'm in no way a fashion expert but I'm definitely an expert when it comes to my own body!  I wish mommies would be forgiving when it comes to their post pregnancy body!  Your body took 9 full months to balloon so give it time to go back to it's original state!  I won't discuss about diet and exercise here as it is obviously the best "tag team" in weight loss!  For someone who don't have the time or chance to exercise or diet (since I'm nursing and I'm always hungry!), here are some superficial tips on how to look at least half as good as you were before we...uhmm..ballooned? :D

Show your assets and hide your flaws
Fellow bloggers who see me after giving birth were kind enough to say I still look good despite the bigger arms, bigger tummy and tired face!  Since I knew in my heart (though my brain is still denying) that my arms are flabbier, waist is definitely wider and my hips gives Beyonce a run for her money, I knew I had to dress up to hide what needs to be hidden and show what I'm proud of!  After a good "ocular inspection" *laughs*  I've decided I have something I could be proud of!  Thankfully, I got my mom's "skinny legs" genes so I thought it would be smart to divert people's attention away from my upper body but down to my lower body instead!

P.S. It is VERY important to wear cycling shorts underneath as flying skirt with undies showing WILL NEVER BE a fashion statement!  (Not unless you're Marilyn Monroe!) :P
