Something New: Vidal Sassoon Premium Color Care Series #GetSassooned

Year 2008, I went to Shanghai, China with my family for a vacation.  It was a week long trip as my brother was working there so we had our own tour guide.  During those times, I've already set my heart to study (aside from makeup artistry) precision cutting.  I visited Vidal Sassoon Academy & Salon in Shanghai as I know Vidal Sassoon is the original salon genius when it comes to cutting, shaping and styling women's hair based on each individual's personality.

Unfortunately, because of a failed timeline, I wasn't able to do so and decided to pursue hair cutting classes in the Philippines.  Though the dream to study at Vidal Sassoon academy didn't push through, I went home with Vidal Sassoon hair products instead!  *laughs*

It was love at first use so I always have my brother purchase me Vidal Sassoon products (especially the hair treatment masque) whenever he gets to visit us here!

Recently, I got a mysterious RED invite from my Sample Room family, who would've thought several years after having my brother lug these products home, I can finally give him a call and tell him: "Thanks but you don't need to buy me VS products anymore!"

Initial Thoughts: Mary Kay At Play Baked Eye Trio and Jelly Lip Glosses

When I think about Mary Kay as a brand, what comes to mind is SERIOUS SKINCARE and MAKEUP Brand.  But everything changed when I got their most recent makeup collection called "MaryKayatPlay".  The packaging itself screams "play with me!"  Who would've thought neon green and pink would go well together?

Mary Kay at Play color is all about FUN and all about YOU.  This is a subtle way for Mary Kay to tell you to say "bye bye" to your usual look and have fun playing mix-and-match!  Yes, we do not leave mixing and matching only to Professional make up artists, you can do them at home!

Mary Kay at Play Baked Eye Trio

Baked Eye Trio contains three matching shades, coordinated shades that you can be bold in trying out as a wash of color on lids, contour the eye crease or can be used to apply the lower lash line for an instant pop!  These baked shadows remind me so much of MAC Mineralized  Eye Shadow Trios!

AMW Reviews: Hayan Glitter Lip Gloss

Happy Monday AMW Friends!  Today is a Philippine Holiday for an election so please vote wisely! :)

As for me, I will be sharing a review of another red lip product.  You may have this impression that I am so into red lipsticks or lip glosses but truthfully I am one of those "I'm really scared to wear red as people may judge me" girl!  It was only when I started blogging when I started to embrace red lips!  Not just any RED lips I tell you, I am very picky with the right shade of red that works for my skin and personality!

I got the Hayan Glitter Lip Gloss for quite some time and after several uses, I'm ready to share my thoughts on this Korean brand that have been making a noise in the cyber world!

Shade: T301 but I would like to call this Glitter Red Lip Gloss

Initial Thoughts: Shiseido Ibuki Ready For Anything Skin

Good morning AMW Friends!
Very early today, I will be doing a makeup to Mr. AMW's cousin as it is her graduation day and she's not only going up the stage to get her diploma!  She is going up the stage as a Cum Laude as well!  So proud of her!  Maine, if you're reading this, Mr. AMW and I are proud of you!

Speaking of proud, one thing I'm proud about myself is the fact that I can hold off NOT using the next skincare products (as much as I would love to jump from one brand to another), I just can't!  And I can't believe I have such willpower!  It must be my sensitive skin or my skin's inability to adapt from sudden skincare changes!  *laughs*  Poor me!

My first ever Shiseido skincare product range that I have tried is their Shiseido 1-2-3 Skincare Moisturizing Line, I told you the story about the "samples purchasing" at Bonjour Hong Kong several years ago!  The next range was the  White Lucent Line which is as equally good as the moisturizing line!  I was so tempted to jump to the new Ibuki line right away but I have to let my skin settle and breatheas I insert one product at a time (ex. Cleanser first, then eye cream, then moisturizer etc...) as it is easier to pinpoint the "suspect" in case there are any skin issues.

That works for me so I hope some of you may find this tip useful and give it a try when you plan on trying out new brands!
