Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamorous Rouge Review

Since it's a very serious topic about voting, let's talk seriously about lips! My extremely dry lips are drier after labor and all the breast feeding! *laughs* I'm not sure if it's related but I just like to look for an excuse and not blame my genes! :P

For girls who suffer from dry to super dry lips, finding the right lipstick that's moisturizing enough is challenging so lip glosses are definitely the answer to our problems! But here's the thing, aside from dry lips, I am "blessed" with full lips, I dislike using lip glosses as they tend to enhance the thickness of my lips and if applied too much, I look like a girl who got punched on the lip! And the extra tacky feel of some lip glosses give me the uneasiness you and I do not deserve especially in this humid climate!

Recently, I've given Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamorous Rouge a test and I'm so happy to share my experience with this! I know a lot of Shiseido lovers out there and I'm sorry I was a bit too late trying out their products!

Gorgeous, practical packaging, easy to bring for retouch.
Hydrating.
Non-sticky and non-tacky.
Gives an illusion of fuller lips minus the "Hey, I just had an oily dinner" look.
Sponge applicator is really good.
Does not dry out the lips.
RS599 is pigmented enough to be worn alone.

Not widely available worldwide.

Overall
A lip gloss that's non-sticky, moisturizing and stays true to the color for hours! Doesn't dry out lips and gives an illusion not only of fuller, but healthier looking lips.

Tips

Wipe off applicator with clean tissue or cloth before putting back to tube.
Can be applied alone or on top of your favorite lipstick for an extra shine.
Use the flat surface of the applicator and apply all over lips to prevent lines.
Use the tip for a more define application.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?

RS599 is best for girls who like medium reddish pink lip color but likes to start gradually. This color works for light to dark skin tone! Anyone can wear this shade!

Again, my lips are extremely dry so some of the dry lines still show up without the presence of lip balm/moisturizer underneath. Considering the condition of my lips, I am still amazed how it didn't dry out my lips further.

I'm opting for nude /natural shades like RD396 and OR 292 as I can never wear nude lipstick without looking like a sick person! I think a nude/natural looking gloss is the key to my favorite Jennifer Lopez nude lips!
