The Body Shop British Rose Collection Initial Review

So I received this gorgeous package from The Body Shop several days before Valentine's Day!
Let me tell you now, I have received so many gifts and press kits in the past but only few made my heart flutter --- and this one is one of them!

Included in this unique gift are some of the products from The Body Shop British Rose range and a Lip & Cheek Stain in Dark Cherry (can you spot it?)

I usually have strong willpower when it comes to skincare, I always hit the "pan" on my current skincare before opening a new one (not unless it was highly requested for a review, but I usually have strong self-control).  I don't know about this range, it must be the packaging, the color, the floral scent, or simply because... it is the month of February --- Love Month and My Birthday Month!  I actually caved in and gave all 3 products a try!  Almost immediately!

So here I am sitting in front of the computer, thinking if I should write this piece. I merely used each of these products not more than 3 times, but I guess, I'm just too excited to share my thoughts because they are indeed unique and different from other body care/skin care ranges from The Body Shop that I have tried.

The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel
Php425.00
Prior to testing this out, I am almost done with my The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel (in HUGE bottle!)  So I don't think I cheated on anyone because both shower gels came from the same company!  The Olive variant used to be my ultimate favorite "shower gel" scent (note on the phrase used to be) Seriously, The British Rose's scent won my heart thus jumping to the first spot!  It has the same soap-free cleanser that lathers pretty easily!  Now here's the winning part, the scent is so irresistible it's almost like taking a shower on a bed of roses!  (Now who's singing Bon Jovi Bed Of Roses on top of their head?)

Now I pray this will come in a HUGE bottle just like the Olive variant!

The Body Shop British Rose Exfoliating Gel Body Scrub
Php1,095.00
I have dry skin and I used to stay away from exfoliating products --- end of story!  Thanks to years of Blogging, I realized that having dry skin is not an excuse to skip exfoliation.  Exfoliating my skin is actually helpful no matter what skin type you have.  This is a wonderful step to slough off dead skin  for better hydration.

This is one of the best-smelling exfoliating body scrub I've tried!  It has a small "strawberry-like" beads that isn't rough to the skin.  After washing this off, my skin is extremely soft and smooth!  And can I just say I can't stop sniffing my arms?  To give you a better idea on how gorgeous the scent of British Rose is, imagine a new magazine with an attached sample of a floral fragrance?  YUP! That one!  *high five* if you get me!

The Body Shop British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter
Php995.00
Goodbye Mango and Olive Body Butters, I've finished up nth number of them and it's high time for me to shift to this one!  The reason why this is a winner is because for the fact that this indeed gave me an instant GLOW on first application!  It has the same non-greasy feel with an amazing "sheen"!  My skin looks super healthy and young!  I love using this on my arms and legs!

Guys, you seldom read me rave about products in just a couple of uses!  The New British Rose Range from The Body Shop is definitely THE BOMB!  After stalking their online site, I can't wait to head to a nearby The Body Shop store because I will definitely complete this collection!  Next on the shopping list?  The Eau De Toilette!  I tell you, I never get addicted to a scent like this since......1990s!  (Elizabeth Arden's True Love was the last scent I got addicted to!)

  1. I could mistake their scrub to strawberry jam (a hazard to our sweet toothed shotie).

  2. The body Mist smells great but fades in like 5 minutes. I miss those days when TBS fragrances have decent longevity. I wish they make the chocomania edt available locally
