So who loves Tofu? ME!
Yes, I didn't wait for your answer because I am really a fan of tofu! So once I get the chance to grab Firm Tofu from the grocery over the weekend, I knew I had to treat the family with my simple yet yummy Chinese-Style Braised Tofu with Ground Pork dish!
Ingredients:
- Firm Tofu sliced into blocks
- Ground Pork
- Garlic, finely minced
- Fresh Ginger (grated)
- Oyster Sauce
- Soy Sauce
- Hoisin Sauce
- Cornstarch slurry
- Water
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Green bell pepper
- Optional: Green Onions
Stir fry garlic, ginger and green bell pepper (you may also add onion if you like).
Add in ground pork and saute until everything is brown.
Add in water (or chicken broth), add oyster sauce, soy sauce and Hoisin sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.
Add cornstarch slurry once you are happy with the taste. Gently slide back the pan-fried tofu and voila!
Best served with Rice!
Have you tried this dish?
I intentionally made this extra "sauce-y" because Kyle Nash loves the sauce so much!
Enjoy your Sunday meals! Happy Cooking!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
