BLK Cosmetics Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo Review

How does one knows if an Eyebrow Pencil works or not?

Well, it has to be extremely easy-to-use and the effect should always be natural - very natural that no one can tell you're wearing makeup!

When BLK Cosmetics launched their full face #UncomplicatedBeauty makeup products, I have to agree with Anne Curtis when she said, she wanted a makeup line so easy-to-use even those who aren't familiar with makeup techniques can use the products and feel good using them.

Out of all the BLK Cosmetics I've tried, I have to give them my thumbs up in this particular products called the Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo just because it works!  (And you all know how particular I am when it comes to reviewing eyebrow products!)

The BLK Cosmetics Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo  comes in 2 shades --- Natural Brown and Taupe.  Most Filipinas would probably pick a Natural Brown but if you wanted brows that doesn't have much reddish brown tint to it, you may want to look into this particular shade called TAUPE because it is one of the most natural-looking brow pencil shade - and there's not a lot of them!

BLK Cosmetics Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo Says ---

Ace your arches. Define, fill in, and groom brows in place with this pencil-and-brush duo. The triangle tip has a pointed end to create thin lines and a flat tip for thicker strokes, while the creamy pencil is infused with aloe vera to gently condition your strands. Apply lightly for a natural look or heavily for a full brow.

• Packaging.
• Retractable pencil so no need for sharpening.
• The angled tip makes it easy to create brow hairs.
• The Spoolie isn't bad at all.
• The shade Taupe is very natural-looking.  
• Can easily fill-in my brows and the effect is very natural.
• Long-wearing.  
• Inexpensive.

Cons

• Taupe may not work for everyone.
• The pencil may harden on the tip so you need to warm it up a bit by swatching a bit at the back of your hand.

Overall
A very natural-looking brow pencil and easy-to-use.

Tips

• Always brush off brow hairs by using the spoolie that comes with the product.
• After drawing hair-like strokes, it is best to brush again to remove excess brow pencil pigments.
• If you have extremely dark brow hairs like I do, best to tint the rest of your brows with an eyebrow gel.
• Try not to twist the product too high as it may break during application.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Those who have natural black hair or deep brown black hair.  Also works for those with colored hair that are on the cooler side (ex. Ash Tone)

Application AMW Style:

Brush off brow hairs with the spoolie to keep brow hair clean and in shape.

Start application at the center of the brows and gently fill in sparse areas!  Apply using lighthand motion especially on the inner corner of the brows.  Best to use the spoolie and gently brush off to create that "faded brows" effect on the inner corner.

I am very impressed with how the pencil can also tame my brow hairs due to its waxy texture.  I also like that the product stays long (until makeup removal).
