When Jennifer Lopez announced her makeup line with Inglot and dropped them all at once with a complete Eyes, Face, Nails, Lips and even included her own collection of Freedom Palette (70-pcs. make up collection to be exact), my inner Beauty Geek was screaming like a child.
Why?
I've always told Mr. AMW how I love J. Lo's makeup looks! From her music videos to movies, her makeup is always ON POINT! And one look that I really want to achieve is her gorgeous dark eyes and nude lips!
I blame her tan, golden skin, she can wear any nude lipstick and look Fab! As for me, I have to pick the right shade of "nude" for me to look a quarter of that J.Lo "fab-ness". Thankfully, with her lipstick line with shades handpicked by none other than J.Lo herself, I've found a perfect nude color called DOLCE.
Let me work it for you *winks*
Jennifer Lopez x Inglot Lipstick

"Give a kiss to your amor, amor, amor. Create beautifully luscious lips with rich and sensual colors. The lip protecting formula provides incredible coverage, allowing you to create bold, unique looks by layering shades. The application is even and effortless, with a longlasting and non-sticky effect. Get creative and blend shades for multi-dimensional color."
And of course, J.Lo is J.Lo, she wanted something "Extra". Her initials were printed clearly on the lipstick itself!
Swatch: DOLCE
A nude peach lipstick with a slight sheen.
Now let's talk about the formulation of this particular lipstick. I speak only from my experience on Dolce, Dolche is very creamy in texture. For a lipstick that gives slight sheen, I was expecting this to be saturated and apears like you're not wearing anything at all.
Thankfully, not for this case! Aside from the insanely great formulation, it is actually pigmented and cover dark areas of my lips which is a great "let alone lipstick" and a "lipstick base" if I wanted to even out my lip tone.
For someone with dry lips, and if you are too, let's celebrate! This lipstick is very hydrating and comfortable to wear. You don't get streaky application as it glides on so smoothly you just smile as you apply!
The ONLY downside I can see for now is that, with the wave of long-wearing, long-lasting lipstick, you're used to not reapplying much midday, not for this particular lipstick! Reapplication is needed but if you get a shade as good as this?
Nah, not gonna curse! :P
How do you find J.Lo Dolce Lipstick?
Do you think J.Lo did a great job collaborating with Inglot?
Keep smilin'
Jlo is the reason why I'm partial to nudes with peach undertone.
