Paint In Color Look

I haven't done much looks lately right?
Because I usually put up my looks on Stories and screw that, I seldom wear legit eyeshadows nowadays until I got this palette!  I was really intrigued about this newest palette from The Body Shop and I love how their packaging is totally different from the usual packaging!  I like it that I am seeing more colors as well.

This palette is called Paint In Color - true to its' name, it does remind me of Kyle's paint palette or watercolor set!  I did initial thoughts on this palette and swatched a couple of shades which made me go "oooh and aaahhh" a lot of times!

But after testing this out on various occasions, I am ready to share my in depth thoughts and will share some tips on how to use this wisely as well!  :D  Are you Ready?

I swatched all 12 colors for you and these are applied without primer and swatched using dry fingers!  Each shadow is 1.1g (0.03oz) making it a perfect eyeshadow size because I could NEVER finish them!

Have you found a favorite shade from here?

I've mentioned it on IG stories and I will mention it again, a nice matte taupe or light brown shade is a perfect shadow color for EVERY SINGLE individual who wants to apply eye makeup!  This is a great transition shade and also a great shade to create "depth" especially for people like me who has hooded lids!

Judging by the look of the swatches, I like it that the Body Shop combines cool and warm tone colors!  There's 2 types of matte browns and has 3 bright shades!  The combination of matte, demi-matte, shimmers make this palette extremely versatile!

For this simple look, I applied a nice taupe shade on the crease area with a wipe motion.

Instead of using a brush, I find that the bright colors are best applied using clean fingers!  If you want to make this color Pop, you have to use a primer underneath, best if you have a white cream shadow but I am not going for that look, I just want something simple.

Using The Body Shop pencil brush, I applied purple shade on the outer corner because Purple will change into somewhat like a "dark" shade on users with warm complexion.  This is a great alternative for "black" if you want a look that is fresh and not too dark!

So you see what I did there?
I like confusing people, I like it when people don't know what shades I used!

So here's what I have to say after playing around with this palette for a couple of times!

The Body Shop Paint In Color Eyeshadow Palette is a great palette to start with whether you are new or a Pro.  I find that these shadows are highly pigmented when applied using fingertips but less pigmented using a brush.  That is why I felt the best way to make this eyeshadow appear pigmented with a brush is by using an eyeshadow primer underneath or use a cream based shadow underneath to intensify the shades!  I also will recommend using a damp brush to make the shadows appear more vibrant.

These shadows are extremely easy to blend even when applied dry.  I also like that it stays on my eyelid for the whole day without creasing even without the presence of primer (if you have oily skin, better use a primer!)

I am grateful The Body Shop created great makeup that are vegan and free from harmful chemicals which makes this palette a great palette for those with sensitive eyes!
