Cloud Cosmetics Milky Way Face Cream Illuminating Moisturizer Review

I've talked about having glowing skin as my major "peg" for the year 2019 and for the coming years.

It really goes with age, I wear lesser and lesser makeup as I grow older and can even go out without eyeliner!  (SHOCKER RIGHT?)  

But don't worry, I am still your resident AMW trying out various products when new products are here!  I mean, I always have this fascination for makeup and skincare products so this woman ain't retiring anytime soon!

Now back to the topic.   

I've had this Cloud Cosmetics Milky Way Face Cream Illuminating Moisturizer for months!  I've done an initial thoughts on #AMWIGStories and a lot of you requested for an in depth review.  I wanted to do it as quickly as possible but because I have been busy with other skincare products, it took a bit of time but I'm finally ready!

A milky white color but once blended, it gives off a pearlescent "pinkish glow".

Thankfully, Cloud Cosmetics created Paraben-free, cruelty-free makeup products so I immediately felt more comfortable testing these out.  When I checked out their website, I learned that you can use the Milky Way Face Cream Illuminating Moisturizer in so many ways!  You can use this as a facial moisturizer, a base for smooth  makeup canvass.  And my favorite part is you can mix this product with your favorite foundation to create radiance.  As for me, my favorite is to use this on its' own and pat with my favorite powder foundation.

The best way, IMHO, in using this product is by using your clean fingers in application.  The warmth of my fingertips made it easier for me to blend the products and a little goes a long way!  What I do is that I would add a layer or 2 on areas I needed extra highlight, let's say, cheekbones?  Nose Bridge?  CHECK AND CHECK!

The product has a light melon-fragrance which surprisingly didn't bother me since I dislike scents in my base makeup products.  It goes away after application and the radiance is subtle and it stays that way for the whole day.

Thankfully, I didn't suffer any allergic reactions using this but I have to be honest, I'd use this mostly as a makeup base instead of a skincare product.  That is the main reason why I took so long to review this because I have been using this on and off.  I put this bottle on my "makeup area" rather than "skincare area" because this felt like a makeup primer rather than skincare.

Overall, for a local brand that sells quite inexpensively, this is a great product to try if you wanted a nice radiance primer and you are on a budget!

It works and delivers!
