How to Use Innisfree My Concealers (Wide Cover and Spot Cover)

Concealing, a makeup step that I have vowed to master after my Make Up Schooling.  It is one of the most difficult step especially when I do bridal makeup!  The concealer has to be strong enough TO COVER EVERYTHING yet, it has to be "subtle" enough to not be seen especially on Hi-Def Cameras and Videos.

After constant practice, I am proud to say, I have mastered the concealing technique and knowing the texture of your concealer that fits your flaws is the best advice I can give you for now!

Since it is lockdown, maybe you can whip out your concealers and practice concealing?

One of my favorite "friendly-to-your-pocket" yet it "works-on-a-professional level" brand is from Innisfree.  Let's start with 2 of their star concealers in Spot Cover and Wide Cover.

Here's my half face version for you to see how subtle it looks and natural - looks like I'm not wearing makeup at all right? (Please NOD ?  :P)

Let's talk about Innisfree My Concealer Spot Cover, this comes in a pot (like a gel liner) with a free spot cover brush!

The My Concealer Wide Cover is my favorite out of the 2, will share more why later but this comes in a tube with huge doe foot applicator!

As you can see, the Spot Cover has the right consistency to "stick" to the spot/pimple mark like a glue!  It is quite dry in texture so if like me, if you have dry skin, you have to moisturize your skin well prior to using this product.

I love to use the spot concealer brush because it is firm and small enough to conceal even the smallest pimple marks!

I pick a good amount on the brush and directly dab on top of the pimple and press using my clean fingers.  No rubbing or blending motion needed, you need to use just the right amount and if you over apply, just use your clean fingers to tap so the product will transfer to your fingers!

Key Tip: Make sure to pick the right shade as the spot will be extremely obvious if you chose the wrong shade!  (Imagine white dots or orange dots? Not a good idea!)

Now let's go to my favorite Wide Cover Concealer with a huge applicator.  The reason why I like this product because this can serve as my undereye corrector/concealer, skin brightener, and this can also conceal pimple marks and dark spots!  Again, you only need to choose the correct shade!

Since I have warm complexion, I pick the concealer with orange undertone to it!  This shade N22 is perfect for medium skin.

To use as an undereye concealer, I apply the product using the tip of the doe foot applicator directly with several dots.

Using a clean sponge, I dab and blend out the product.

Using the wide flat portion of the doe foot applicator, I apply a good amount on the center of my face since it tends to be red on that area!

With this, I can actually skip foundation and set with my favorite face powder!
