Cathy Doll Shiny Bear Lip Moist Review

 

I was invited to be the host for Cathy Doll's Bear It Collection event last April 24 and trust me when I say, I was so excited about this collection eventhough it looked like a collection for girls ages 12 and below.  

Don't be fooled by the cute packaging!  These Cute Mini Bears are packed with pigments!  Pigmented enough but to ask kids 12 and below to give this to their big sisters or moms!

The collection comes with Big Bear Lip Balms (less pigmented, highly moisturizing) but I will do a separate review on that.  Here are my thoughts after using all 4 shades of the Cathy Doll Shiny Bear Lip Moist Priced Php109.00 (approx USD2.00 less)

01 Candy Pink

This shade reminds me of Mac's Candy Yum Yum in a more subtle version.  Buildable Pigment and this medium pink lipstick has a warmer tone making it easier to work with on Asian skin.  

02 Redlipop

Redlipop is the only red shade in this collection.  I love how it works as a "tint" if applied with light hand and would look like Classic Audrey Hepburn RED when applied with heavy hand.  It is more of a Rose Red shade rather than True Tone Red.

04 Sour Punch

Sour Punch is a perfect lipcolor for Medium to darker complexion.  It warms the face when worn due to it's orange base.  I seldom can wear an orange lipcolor but this one is subtle enough to be worn even with minimal makeup on.

05 Brown Sugar

My most favorite shade because brown lip color works so well on me!  I find myself gearing towards to such shade as it makes me appear classier and vibe looks more laidback.

After using these 4 cuties for weeks.  Here are my thoughts:

• Pigmentation is good and buildable.  You don't get full on 100% color so you have a leeway to make it look natural or Glam.
• Packaging is cute and easy to work with BUT , it is too small there is a chance of losing it.
• I saw a friend putting on a "keychain" ring on top of the bear's head and use it as an accessory for her bag which is a great idea!  You get a cute keychain and you can re-apply lipstick anytime, anywhere.
• Product is smooth and hydrating, can be worn even on dry lips or without moisturizer underneath.
• A cutely packaged item, inexpensive that can be a nice gift to others.

I wish Cathy Doll would create a slightly bigger version of this, like 2.4g or something for those who wanted it slightly bigger but not as big as regular lipstick.  

I seriously love these and would repurchase it considering I like seeing myself finishing up a lipstick tube..I mean..bear!  :D
