One thing I truly appreciate about beauty events is when I get to learn something new—not just about a product, but about how to use it properly. Last July 10, 2026, I spent the afternoon at Culture Salon MNL in BGC for the launch of Aveda Philippines' newest haircare innovation, Miraculous Oil, and it turned out to be one of those events where I left with both healthier-looking hair and new haircare knowledge.
The afternoon started with a masterclass by celebrity hairstylist Jim Ryan Ros, a huge reunion since I met him during my Blogging days which was around 2009 or 2010! From makeup artist to hairstylist and to be a salon-owner, I am so happy and proud for him!
Jim shared not just styling techniques but also practical tips on keeping hair healthy despite frequent heat styling, coloring, and everyday exposure to environmental stressors.
One thing that immediately caught my attention was how Miraculous Oil challenges what many of us usually think about hair oils.
Growing up, I always associated hair oils with something you apply after styling for extra shine. While that's still one way to use them, I learned that this particular formula does much more than simply add gloss.
What makes Aveda Miraculous Oil interesting is that it can actually be applied before using heat styling tools. Instead of making your hair more susceptible to heat damage, it helps protect the hair while keeping it smooth, soft, and manageable. As someone who regularly blow-dries and styles my hair for shoots and events, that's definitely something worth paying attention to.
Of course, the best part was getting to experience it firsthand.
The moment the oil was applied, I immediately noticed how much healthier my hair looked. It gave my strands an instant glossy finish without feeling heavy or greasy. My hair still had movement, but it looked noticeably smoother and felt softer to the touch. It's the kind of healthy shine that catches the light naturally instead of looking oily.
Another thing I appreciated was how lightweight the formula felt. Those with fine hair know the struggle of finding a hair oil that doesn't flatten volume, so it was nice to see that my hair still looked bouncy after application.
Beyond trying the product myself, I also enjoyed learning the proper techniques for application because sometimes it's not just about having a good product—it's also about knowing how and when to use it to maximize the benefits.
Overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon filled with beauty tips, hairstyling insights, and a chance to experience Aveda's newest innovation up close. It's always refreshing to discover products that don't just promise beautiful hair but also support healthier hair in the long run.
If you're someone who regularly uses curling irons, straighteners, or blow dryers but still wants your hair to stay soft, shiny, and healthy-looking, Aveda Miraculous Oil is definitely one to keep on your radar.
Thank you to Aveda Philippines and Culture Salon MNL for having me. It was such a wonderful afternoon of learning, self-care, and, of course, great hair!
