Fast forward to exactly 3 years after, who would've thought I would depend on this brand again to fulfill my son's simple wish to have his own tablet?

I personally own a tablet for work and lends it to my son once in a while for his school research, drawings, movie watching and a whole lot more. He requested to have his own tablet (rather than phone) when he graduates elementary which is coming up soon (This year)! As much as we wanted to give him to best and most expensive out there, I would like him to start up on something simple, an entry-level that works just as fine as branded ones in the market for his age range. And of course, I want him to work his way up to top tier ones for him to have appreciation on every material things he own.

That's killing 2 birds in one!

And I recently got to try out the LUMOS Tablet Bundle (with accessories; keyboard, mouse, pen) which costs Php8,499. You may opt for LUMOS Tablet Only (without accessories) costing Php6,999

The Bundle comes with a 10.1 inch wide screen Tablet, a Bluetooth Keyboard, Bluetooth Mouse, Stylus Pen and a Case Cover.

This whole bundle can transform a simple tablet into a mini Laptop! This was supposedly for my son but I road-tested this myself for a week working on Blog Posts, Editing some photos for my Social Media and just listen to my favorite Youtube Crime Documentaries as I get ready for work.

For someone who is not "techie", I do understand a few major points when looking for a tablet. A good clear skin is much appreciated and 10.1 inch is perfect size not only for my son even I find it comfortable to watch shows with it. The 4K resolution makes the video crisp and super clear with 8GB Ram (in which other brands would cost more with such!).

In the past, my son used other brand and gave up when his scrolling isn't as smooth as he wanted. I actually saw how much he used the tablet scrolling feature with no issue thus was able to do what school needed him to do in NO time!

Keep in mind that this won't work as a "gaming" tablet, though my husband did try out some simple games and it still works as the tablet has 8GB processing speed.

The LUMOS Tablet uses Type C charging cable with 6000mAh battery which can be used up to 8 hours runtime.

And since we are on to the topic of the stuff that comes with the bundle, can I just say I super love the WiFi-ready keyboard and mouse that comes with this?

The mouse is sleek and pretty to look at, the keyboard is super slim and lightweight.

Both gets connected into the tablet in no time as soon as you turn them on.

Also included in the bundle which I almost missed since a keyboard and mouse is enough for me, I am glad my son asked for a stylus pen which puts me in a second of panic! Thankfully the bundle also comes with a pen as my son enjoys drawing A LOT and he has been using this to draw his favorite animation art.

The stylus pen is lightweight as well. It offers precise control, smoothness and is responsive to touchscreen interaction.

(This obviously isn't my son's drawing and I can't even draw a nice Smiley for the life of it! :P)

As basic tablet users, most of the time, we do a lot of online researching but the next add-in is the best gift for busy moms like myself!

Almost ALL the apps that we need are already installed in the LUMOS Tablet . Saves time for me to download them one by one!

From Netflix, Youtube, Spotify, Tiktok, Facebook, Karaoke Apps, Kid's Education/Learning Apps, WPS Office Apps, Presentation apps and a whole lot more!

This alone made me the happiest mom alive!

Also included are Kid Friendly learning apps! This app used to be my son's favorite and he learned so much from this!

And since we are living in a High Tech world....LUMOS went along with it by adding "Casting" a part of their feature! Now I should title this post as an middle-entry tablet at an Entry-Level Price!

The tablet has a built-in screen share capability with my Smart TV (Even my LUMOS Projector!) for seamless casting!

Why do I need to cast from Tablet to Youtube instead of letting my son scroll on the tablet directly you say? Parental Guidance! Knowing what my son watch is still the best way to make sure he does not end up with the dark side rabbit hole of Youtube!

And it also helps at times to watch at the comfort of larger screen for movies 2-3 hours long! Family-bonding time at its finest indeed!

Do our kids need their own tablet?
No. But if they are responsible enough to be gifted one, we might as well look for one that he/she can use both Study and Play. A brand that is dependable with good after-sales service! I am happy I was able to try their Projector - which works fine even after so many years with no issues. So I can't wait for my son to grow and be educated along with his new favorite bestie!
