Crabtree & Evelyn has always been a brand that's quite luxurious for my taste. My first C&E product was an airplane gift given to me by my uncle. I think he's flying long haul business class thus he has this cute C&E pouch with all the cute mini toiletries! That's my one and only memory of C&E.
I never purchased from this brand, for myself.
Thanks to my Aunt for gifting me this, made me realize, it does feel great to receive Crabtree & Evelyn products for a change! *laughs*

Goatmilk
Triple Milled Soap with Milk Protein
I never use anything with "Goatmilk" or "goat" whatever in my whole life, this will probably be the first, you know why? Craziness thought, in Chinese Calendar, I was born in the year of the Goat/Sheep...so, I have this...feeling...of...protecting my herd? *laughs out loud* If you think I'm weird, it's ok, I still love you! hahaha
Ok, back to reviews!
The Goatmilk Triple Milled Soap comes in a huge box with 3 bars of 100g soap. The packaging is simple yet eye catching.

Pros
- moisturizing
- smells great! Not overpowering, just right
- as compared to other moisturizing soaps, it doesn't melt as fast
- lathers quickly
- doesn't irritate my skin
- feels clean after using this, other soaps that are luxurious doesn't make me feel clean lol
- no oily residue
Cons
- pricey
Overall
Paying Php315.00 (approx $6.80) for a 100g soap is quite pricey! Seriously, not everybody could afford that! And I myself, even with the driest of all dry skin couldn't shell out this much for a bar of soap. But you know what I did? Purchased as a gift! I guess that's the power of packaging! I honestly couldn't shell out this much amount of money for my own skin but I don't mind spending this much to gift this to someone as it looks really luxurious and it's, in my opinion, packaged to be purchased as gift! Maybe its just me, but the marketing strategy is working!
Is it worth it? Well, it's not a bad product, I love the scent, I love how luxurious I feel and how non-drying it is as compared to other regular soaps. But with all the variations out there, we can easily purchase moisturizing soaps without spending as much.
Moral of the review?
If you have the money, go for it!
If you don't...there are a lot of "me-eh-eh-he" (goat sound inserted here) soap out there!
Tips
- always use a soap dish and keep dry when not in use
- eventhough you are using a moisturizing soap, do continue with body lotion or oil after shower
- if you really want to try this, you can purchase with a friend to save up :)
- Crabtree & Evelyn have sales or bundles every now and then, keep your eyes open and try on their products during sale period. They can go upto 30% off :)
No for myself, yes as gift.
Where to purchase and how much?
Crabtree & Evelyn stores or booths for Php950.00 (approx $21.00) = 3 bars of 100g soap100g fits my hand perfectly
What's the most expensive soap you've tried?
I guess this will be my "most expensive soap" for the moment
I guess this will be my "most expensive soap" for the moment
Stay happy!
Oooh. I haven't tried too many Crabtree and Evelyn products but I use their Spring Hill scent hand cream and I really love it. You should try it if you get the chance.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to pamper yourself sometimes! I don't think I've ever splurged on soap before!
ReplyDeletei was born under the year of the goat too nikki =)
ReplyDeletewow! that soap is so expensive!
i just tried the rose water soap bar too, smells like heaven! hmm i guess my most expensive purchase of soap will be the YUAN soap bar
ReplyDeleteI got this for christmas :D After reading your review, I'm sure I'll love this soap too
ReplyDeleteMost expensive soap that I've tried are LUSH soaps. Regardless of the price, LUSH soaps made a huge difference in my showering habits so they're worth it!
I actually love a few of the Crabtree and Evelyn products including their hand therapy lotions and their lime and eucalyptus scrub! They really work! (And are actually cheaper than L'Occitane when they're on sale LOL). I've never tried any of their soaps yet though! I think I'm afraid that they'll just melt in our shower since I know how SO treats our Soapalaya Soaps bars. Sounds really lovely though!
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL. ilu Nikki - you are so funny. =P
Protecting your herd? You're really cute, Nikki! Kulet mo =D
ReplyDeleteThe most expensive I tried is PureGlow's African Black Soap at Php 215/bar, and like you, I don't think I'll shell out anything more than that.
lol @ me-eh-eh-he

Jen, I will take note on it :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteArezu, I know , but this is a gift, so yeah, its nice other people pamper me :P

Xin, ohh I've smelled the rosewater cologne or something and it smells wonderful! I can imagine how great the soap smells!
Connie, :) Enjoy!!! I have tried Lush Soap but only a sample size, never bought full size of those :)
ReplyDeleteCatherine, hand therapy lotion sounds wonderful, I may have to wait for sales! so far, this one doesn't melt on shower! :)
Dang sis! LOL you know me..I'm the mother hen..or mother GOAT!:P I have never tried the soap you've tried! :)
Mona, :D
That sounds good, too bad about the price. I've never used any expensive soaps. I tempted to try some from Lush but the price is putting me off. I can't bring myself to pay a lot for soap lol.
ReplyDeletei was born on the year of the monkey..so no monkey milk for me too. hahaha. you are hilarious!

I've always wanted to try any of Crabtree and Evelyn's products but I haven't seen them here in our city. It's indeed pricey for a soap! Hehe. I used this not-so cheap goat milk moisturizing soap before and I must say they work really well. Maybe I can sweet talk somebody to give it to me as a gift. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your review! I saw you on Stacie's blog and I wanted to follow you! I enjoy your writings!
