Nail Art Tutorial: Easiest Polka Dotted Nails!

Happy weekend everyone!  I am quite excited for this weekend because I've been really busy working my cute butt off!  *laughs* My weekend ended on a good note though, I've had wonderful dinner with highschool friends and it was a night spent with loads of stories and of course, laughter!

After my Korea trip, I removed my nail polish and left it "nude" for almost a week!  I wanted it to rest from polish application because that's how we should take care of our nails!  Give it a time off!

I am not planning to do anything drastic and I wanted to spend only 10-15 minutes!  So here's the easiest nail art design (I think) I've ever done!  I find doing this takes shorter time than nail art stickers!  Inspired by the gorgeous polish shade I bought from Korea!  Very playful and reminded me of playful 60's dresses while dancing on the tune of "Great Balls of Fire!"

Nail Art Tutorial: Easiest Polka Dotted Nails!

Step 1:
Apply your preferred base coat to protect your nails prior to polish application.  Using Nature Republic polish in GR603, apply 2 coats and let dry.

Step 2:
Using the biggest "point" of nail art dotting tool that I own, I used white polish to randomly create white dots on different areas of your nails!  The more random, the better!
If you don't own a nail art dotting tool, you can use any "round point" thing to dip onto a white polish to create dots!  (Ex. Used Ballpen, end of a bbq stick, toothpick, etc...)

Step 3:
Making sure the dots are completely dry, apply your preferred top coat to protect your nails.  Let Dry.  Voila!  Very quick and easy-to-do nail art design that's a good conversation starter!

By the way, I've finally managed to take a shot of my simple hauls!  As I stated, I did not purchase a lot of makeup as I've hoarded so much during sales that I still have backups for my makeup traincase!  I did purchase a couple of eyebrow pencils and cleansing oils though!  Yup, I'm really addicted to it!  Here's a photo below and I will tell you what I bought and expect some reviews!  Let me know which one you want to see me review first!  I will try to do my best to accommodate your request! :)

  1. Nature Republic Forest Garden Balancing Cleansing Oil
  2. Etude House Light Cleansing Oil
  3. Etude House Henna Fix Proof 10 Mascara
  4. Nature Republic Green Tea Nail Remover and Tony Moly Nail Enamel Remover
  5. Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil
  6. Lovely Q10 Makeup Base Mat in Green
  7. Skin 79 VIP Gold BB Cream
  8. The Face Shop Herb Day Lip & Eye Remover
  9. Random Nail Polishes from The Face Shop and Nature Republic
  10. Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer
  11. Tears Glam HD Two-Way Cake Powder
  12. Eyebrow Pencils from Missha, Tears, Etude House, It's Skin and The Face Shop
Not bad eh?  I actually regretted not purchasing more!  Well semi-regret, excess baggage on the way home anyways! :)

Have a wonderful Saturday!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  7. Hi Nikki, great haul! I also have a question, which relates to your previous nail art tutorial, Stripey nails. You mentioned that we could also use a thin brush from the bookstore, and I got one yesterday :) I got a set of 3. It had numbers 1, 3, 5. The thing is, even number 1, the thinnest, seems to thick for stripey nails! If I used it, I'd probably have only 3-4 stripes per nail, and I like all the stripes you have! so cuuute :)
