SANA Styling W Brow Review

My brows are thick and full!  They actually work well on my "round" face!  Okay, according to my makeup teacher, I do have a different face shape but in the eyes of the owner, it's simply ROUND!  *laughs*

Don't worry, I already embraced my round face so all I can do for now iswork on it and practice highlighting my features that I want to pop!  That includes my brows!

My hair has been lightened and using a regular eyebrow pencil to fill in the brows can make it look "good" but it doesn't match the color of my hair!  That's were the power of eyebrow gel comes in!

There's one famous eyebrow gel from MAC called Girl Boy and it works well on my face but I am still on the lookout for another version!  I actually got to purchase one during my Singapore trip at Sasa.

SANA Styling W Brow in SB3 (Light Brown)

The reason why I chose this over the MAC brow gel, aside from the right shade is....

The automatic eyebrow pencil side

and the eyebrow gel on the other side
2-in-1 products are the best!

SANA Styling W Brow says ---
Sana New Born Styling W Brow is a 2 step tool that on one side is eyebrow pencil and the other side is eyebrow mascara to create nice and beautiful brows!
The powdery pencil side is used to fill-in brows with using thin, hair-like strokes. Then, use the soft/fiber in brush side to blend in the pencil n brows.
The pearl and soft fibers helps to create a soft nuance brows.
This product contains Rosemary Essence and Natural Plants Treatment ingredients to make your eyebrows soft, smooth, and beautiful.

Available in 3 shades:
  • SB1 Grayish brown
  • SB2 Natural brown
  • SB3 Light brown
Made in Japan

AMW says ---
Pros
  • 2-in-1. Eyebrow pencil and eyebrow gel at the same time!
  • Inexpensive as compared to other brow gel brands.
  • Can naturally "color" your brows without the sparkles or shine.
  • Dries up on brows without the waxy or powdery feel.
  • Brows do not feel stiff or 'fake'.
  • Stays all day even when I perspire a lot.
  • Has 3 shades available to choose from as compared to other brands which has at least 1 or 2 shades available.
Cons
  • Not available locally!
  • Tricky to use for first timers, practice makes perfect!
Overall
A super good buy!  I tested this on spot and fell in love with this!  Since I can't make up my mind with the natural brown and light brown, I ended up purchasing only a shade as I'm not sure how it'll perform in our country!

Now I want to kick myself for not purchasing more!

Tips
  • Use the pencil side first to fill in the brows with tiny hair-like strokes.
  • Use the brush side and gently brush through the brows starting from the thickest portion down to the thinnest.
  • Use a spoolie or any disposable mascara wands in brush the brows gently for a more "natural" look.
  • Use light hand in the gel application as pressing it hard against the skin will create a "color tint" on the area which makes it look unnatural.
  • If you applied this to your skin by mistake, do not panic, use a cotton bud and soak it with eye makeup remover and gently remove the excess gel.
  • If you're not comfortable with an eyebrow gel with tint, use the "natural Brown" instead of the "light brown" as not everyone would get use to the lighter shades of brows.
  • If you do not have disposable mascara wands or spoolie, wash off your "used" mascara wands, make sure its clean and use it as your spoolie!
Will I repurchase?
YES!  Since I tested this on myself for a month plus and loved the results, I'll make sure to purchase more for clients too!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Anyone who wants to "lighten" up their brows or darken them (as they have other shades to choose from).

Where to purchase and how much?
I purchased mine at Sasa Singapore for SGD25.90 (approx Php869.00).

The shade Light Brown on wand

Here's a step-by-step guide on how I use my
Sana Styling W Brow
  1. I fill in and redefined my brows with the pencil side.  Standing back to check in front of the mirror to make sure both brows are a bit "close" to each other base on the shape and thickness.  Do not expect your brows to look exactly the same.
  2. Once you are happy with your brow shape, apply the Sana Styling Brow Gel gently from the inner brow going outward.  Be careful not to press the wand onto the skin.
  3. Use a spoolie and gently brush off the hairs to keep it natural-looking.

A before and after shot of my original brow color
The new color may look a bit too light for some of you
but it matches the color of my hair perfectly!

Do you have colored hair?
Do you use a brow gel to "lighten" or "darken" your brows?

  6. am always curious about n-in-1 makeup that's in one packaging - travel friendly!

i have girl boy too but am thinking of getting darker shade 'cause i think it's too light, it opens up my eyes but kinda makes me a bit rounder so to speak haha. but i love how it "colors" the hair evenly. will check out this Sasa find of yours and test! hihi
