Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow Review

Are you proud of your eyebrows?
I must say, I'm one happy owner of a full and thick set of brows!  An everyday look isn't complete without me fixing my brows!  Whether I use pencils, powders, wax or brow gels, it always gives me the satisfaction of looking polished!

During my Tokyo trip, one of the many few makeup items I've been searching for was a nice, inexpensive, waterproof, sweat-proof brow gel that's light in color and doesn't have an orange tint!  Thank goodness almost all of of the brow gels I've seen have testers so I was able to trim down my choices and bought my first Kiss Me brand!

Kiss Me, if it does sound familiar to you, is known for its mascara that has been raved by Beauty Bloggers worldiwde!  I haven't tried Kiss Me mascara but so far, with my experience on their eyebrow gel, seems this Japanese drugstore brand can go against the expensive counterparts!

The brand: Kiss Me

(description taken from Sasa website)
Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow is a multi-proof eyebrow mascara. It is water-proof. With the use of this eyebrow mascara, it gives you attractive & glamorous eyes. It is a good expression of eyebrow color. It has film-type colorant coating. High resistance to sweat, water, and sebum, while still easy for make-off cleansing. It contains panthenol as treatment ingredient for eyebrow nourishment. The specially designed "technical brush" allows an easy application and wearing of colors with the least possible drawings.
*We have used our best efforts to accurately display the colors of the products, however the actual color you see will depend on your monitor and may not be accurate.

Color bought: 03 Ash Brown (Which is the lightest among the bunch inside the store)
Made in Japan

Pros
  • Shorter mascara-like brush that makes it easy to control and apply.
  • The brand Kiss Me came out with different shades to suit your needs.
  • Easy to use.
  • No weird scent and doesn't  give me allergic reactions.
  • The product gives out a natural, blond-ish shade and doesn't have an orange tint that would make  my brows look unnatural.
  • Waterproof, Sweat-proof.
  • Sets the brows for the whole day, stray hairs were put to place.
  • Can be easily removed with regular eye makeup remover.
  • Inexpensive for its quality.
Cons
  • Locally unavailable.

Overall
I love this brow product from Kiss me and I find myself using this on a daily basis since it complements the color of my hair!  It gives an overall youthful vibe!

Tips
  • You do not need this if you have dark colored hair.
  • It helps to fill in gaps with a brow pencil or brow powder before "setting" it with a brow gel.
  • Start by brushing against the direction of hair growth to make sure you get to "tint" the hair properly.  (photo below for clearer instructions.)
  • Brush using short and quick strokes.
  • Do not be scared as you can always wipe off mistakes!  This is not permanent so feel free to explore and find the best color for your brow hairs!
  • If you are a makeup artist and plan to use this on clients, use disposable mascara wands.
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Anyone with medium and light colored hair!

Where to purchase and how much?
I bought mine in a makeup store in Japan, I don't see this particular brand in all makeup stores!  So it is a bit difficult for me to find this (as a tourist).  I'm just one lucky girl who chanced into this at Akasaka. The product costs around Php400.00 (approx $8.00).

The color of the gel can be immediately seen on packaging

Directions printed at the back of the packaging
You can easily get the drift even if you don't understand Japanese

After you fill in your brows with your choice of brow pencil or brow powder, feel free to remove excess product from wand with a tissue paper and gently sweep the wand against the growth of your brow hairs.  Do this with quick, short strokes until all your brow hairs are coated with tint.

With the same brush wand or spoolie brush (if preferred),
brush over the lash once again to set following the direction of hair growth.

Voila!

Here's to show you the difference with and without Kiss Me Coloring Eyebrow
Left: filled in with brow powder + Kiss Me Coloring Eyebrow in Ash Brown
Right: applied brow powder only

Do you agree that the left one looks more natural?

  1. I really admire your eyebrows. I'm trying to grow mine out and it's difficult after years of plucking them. I've seen this product around and it does look interesting. The only brow gel I have used in the past is the clear one from The Body Shop.
