Weekend Food Tripping at: The Stock Market and The Cake Club

Last October 27 was Mr. AMW and Mrs. AMW's 5th year wedding anniversary.  Though suffering still from morning sickness, I've decided to take my hubby out on a date!  YES, I'm the boss for the day and I've requested him to drive me to The Fort area as I want to eat there.

Praying inside the car that I have the appetite to eat, I've decided to take Mr. AMW to one of my favorite restaurant called The Stock Market.  I've eaten here quite a number of times and never get tired of their dishes!

It was a quiet Saturday night and the place was just right for dates!  *winks*

Celery and Pineapple Crusher
Php120.00 (approx $2.85)
My number 1 celery and pineapple drink is from Flapjacks, this one comes in second as I can distinctively taste the celery.  This is the type of drink I'm quite confident to take as I'm sure it'll keep my body strong and healthy!

Salmon and Spinach Dip
Php395.00 (approx $9.40)
Smoked salmon in four cheese dip served with
Tuscany bread, soft pita and fried chips
Since I wanted to go for dessert after dinner, I've decided to order light.  I've been looking at the Salmon and Spinach Dip photo, which is a house specialty by the way, and decided to give it a go!  It was a great choice as I enjoyed the mixture of cheese with a slight hint of smoked salmon.  I would appreciate it if they could've added more of the chips, soft pita or bread!

Southern Chicken Burger
Php395.00 (approx $9.40)
Herbed flavour chicken fillet, smoked turkey, provolone cheese,
crispy onion rings and nacho flakes served with fries
Blame us for watching Man vs. Food!  I've always been salivating in front of the TV watching Adam devour his huge sized burgers!  I have been ordering burgers from fast food chains for the past months so we've decided to give good-quality burgers a try!

It was a great decision as the combination of tender chicken fillet and smoked turkey gave me the appetite I need!  The extra crunchy texture of nacho flakes and onion rings makes the burger unique!  Will definitely order this again!

And before I forget, the fries that came with the burger tastes like McDonald's twister fries but less saltier version!

After a nice, fulfilling dinner.  We've decided to take a slow walk toward The Cake Club.  I've been craving for Truffle Fries for God knows how long!  As expected, the restaurant is obviously the "it" place for cakes and ice cream lovers!

Baked Cheesecake and
Supermoist Chocolate Cake Ice Cream
2 scoops for Php180.00 (approx $4.30)
We wanted to try on cakes but we're a bit full from our meal so Mr. AMW and I have decided to make our anniversary night sweeter, 2 sccops of uniquely flavored ice cream!  I am IN LOVE with the Baked Cheesecake ice cream and I am craving for a bite as I type this post!

Truffle Fries
Php180.00 (approx $4.29)
Sea salt flakes, garlic mayonnaise or ketchup
What more can I say?  I was in silence for a good 15 minutes while Mr. AMW stared at my "lost in Truffle Fries" face.  The Truffle fries is definitely pricey but come on..give this pregnant girl a break!  *winks*

Mr. and Mrs. AMW had a lovely anniversary dinner and it was not only the quality of food that made us enjoy the night, it was the great company!  I'm glad to have married my best friend for 5 years and we're looking for more years to come!
