Nail Art Tutorial: Back to Retro!

When we talk about Retro, I remember 2 things --- Retro inspired dresses....

and the Deee-lite's "Groove is in your heart"..... *laughs*

There's just so much inspiration during the "Retro-Years" so I've decided to create my own Retro Nail Art design!  Nothing too fancy or complicated as I just cut my nails super short!  If you follow me on  Instagram (AskMeWhats), I did mention that this is my shortest nails ever!  And here's a proof that short nails can still do nail art! :)

Step 1:
Apply 2 coats of OPI Nail Lacquer in Yodel Me On My Cell.  Let dry.

Step 2:
Pick a thick nail art dotting tool or any item you can find at home with rounded tip, create big white dots using any white colored nail polish of your choice.

Step 3:
Using L.A. Art Deco Colors in White, connect the dots with a thin line.  This may look weird on photo (just like fish balls on stick) but don't get discouraged, keep the colors coming! :P

Step 4:
Using a smaller dotting tool, apply a smaller dot on top of the white dots as shown on photo below.  I am using bright pink polish from Etude House.

Step 5:
With the same pink shade, pick up the big dotting tool again (used on step 2) and apply pink dots alternately with the white ones.

Step 6:
Again, do the "Connect the dots" game!  Since I do not have a similar pink shade from L.A. Colors Nail Lacquer, I picked a thin nail art brush.

Step 7:
Once the pink dots are completely dry, apply white smaller dots on top of the pink.

Make sure the dots are completely dry before proceeding to top coat application.

Voila!  You can wear your favorite Retro Outfit and dance the night away! :)

What do you think of each time the term "Retro" comes to mind?
