AMW Reviews: Celeteque Anti-Stretch Mark Cream

Happy Monday!!!
As soon as my morning sickness died down (a tiny bit), I was aiming for anti-stretch mark cream application even though the scent puts me off!  Would you believe I literally wear a mask during application?  Sorry to say, I'd rather go for that route rather than having stretch  marks!  I'm not vain, but I'm just making sure I take care of my body!  *laughs*  I wish the skin has its own "skin system" wherein the body can automatically adjust to changes and steer away from ugly stretchmarks.  Unfortunately, there's none.

I was told so many times through research that genetics plays a huge role!  I literally had to take a peek at my mom's belly and true enough, she has stretch marks because she was scratching her belly non-stop due to pregnancy but the rest of her body are stretch marks free!

That's confusing right?  But I can't take risks or chances, whether anti-stretch mark creams work or not!  I'm definitely giving them a try, plus of course, I know these products also help stop the urge to scratch your belly as it rapidly grows!

Few products that I've tried and reviewed are ---
Palmer's Organics Cocoa Butter Massage Cream for Stretch Marks
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil

Many of you mentioned on how you guys want to try the said products I reviewed above but wants an inexpensive version!  Thankfully, a local trusted brand Celeteque actually has one!

The product comes with direction and manufacturing and expiration date.

Color of the cream is white, very lightweight and easily to massage all over body.

Packaging in tube, easier to control the amount of product needed.

Okay, this is an embarrassing photo of a "bun" *laughs*.  For the sake of this review, I will be showing my super cute tummy!  :P

So far, I can't say the product really works or not as I have been using various anti-stretch mark creams and oils!  But lucky for me, now that my tummy is at its' peak in terms of size, I'm happy to announce that I don't see any stretch marks as of the moment!  The nurse also concur when I had my Non-stress exam in the delivery room and asked me what products I used (I promise you, I had to mention all the brands!  lol).

Again, it could be the genes, I must be lucky, or it could be from all the products that I've used and applied!  At the end of the day, it's not bad to at least use creams that could help prevent or lessen the appearance of stretch marks!

*Note: Photo taken using Samsung Note 2 by Mr. AMW, photo isn't Photo-shopped.

As of today, I promised myself I'll keep on using those anti-stretch mark creams that I bought, and acquired from friends and companies.  Why?  Well, it doesn't hurt to start preventing at this age and time!

Do you use regular lotions/creams or are you using anti-stretch mark creams too?

  1. I'm currently using the Palmer's soothing oil for dry itchy skin on both my breast and belly. I just never really believed in anti-stretch mark creams, but looks like it worked well for you. I'm already 7mos preggo so it might be too late for me to start using this though. hehe

  2. Hi Nikki! Wow! You're so lucky to have good genes. Creams and lotions don't work on my belly stretch marks :( Can you also do a "What's in your Hospital Bag" post? I've been meaning to ask you what did you bring in the hospital when you deliver Baby AMW. I'm already 8mos preggy and I'm really anxious. Thanks! <3

  4. Thanks for sharing these stretch mark treatment products. I've had stretch marks on my thighs ever since a bout of weight gain in my late twenties. Cocoa and shea butter worked for me in fading them. Nowadays, I use them in conjunction with dermarolling, which I find helps with the absorption and fades the deeper marks as well. That said, stretch marks are notoriously difficult to treat and people react wildly differently to different treatment methods, so a lot of trial and error is required...unless of course you are willing to go for laser surgery.
