AMW Reviews: Ellana Goddess Lip & Cheek Cream Color in Light Pink

It's Thursday!  I can't believe Kyle's Birthday is coming soon!  Imagine, 1 year old Kyle!  It has been a year of whirlwind for Mr. AMW and I but guess what?  I won't change a thing!  My skincare regimen was lessened (as I prefer to sleep) and I can't seem to apply lotion as Kyle loves to link my arms and legs, my undereye circles?  Well, after years of investing on good eye creams, I think I'm back to square 1!  My bags are getting bigger and darker....but SO WHAT? :) It is worth it! 

I know I'm in such a good mood once again!  But I have to admit, there are days I wish Kyle would just go to sleep as I am dead tired..there are days I wonder how it feels like to have full 8 hours "uninterrupted sleep" again but I guess that is what they say about motherhood....it is hard...really hard, but at the end of the day, when you look at your little one smiling back at you...it is worth it...seriously!  No pain..no gain! :P

Now back to beauty talk!  Thanks to beauty blogging, I didn't lose the battle on "trying to stay pretty", I mean if I can only go out without makeup!  I would!  But because I have products to review and my name as a makeup artist is in line *laughs*  I HAD to at least prettify myself a bit and test products to share my thoughts to readers who believe in me!  *hugs*  So in return, it is ME thanking you guys for giving me the pressure to make myself look at least half human! :P  And thankfully, there are many easy-to-use products for busy moms like me!  I mean LIP & Cheek products?  I don't appreciate them much until now!  When you only have 5 minutes to get ready as there is a screaming baby at the background getting bored....

Mini-pots of a sheer wash of long-lasting luminous color, creamy & easily blendable. To use as blush, dot on the apples of your cheeks and blend. To use as lip color, dot on the middle of the lips and blend towards the edges. Highly pigmented, a little goes a long way.

Pros

• Packaging is unique and very pretty.
• A little goes a long way.
• Creamy and easy to blend.
• Works for both cheeks and lips.  As I've tried a lot of lip & cheek products and ended up using them only on cheeks.
• Build-able shades.
• Very natural outcome.
• Finishes as powder on cheeks.  Non-greasy.
• Can be applied on lips even without lip balm, the effect is non-drying.
  

Cons

• Reapplication is needed especially for users with oily skin.
• As a lip color, it vanishes after eating and drinking.

Overall

A very pretty lip and cheek color that always appears natural no matter how much you apply.  Creamy texture and easy to blend.

Tips

• Try using sponge or brush in application, as for me, my fingers are the best tool to apply the Ellana Lip & Cheek Cream color.
• As a cheek color, this can be applied on top of your powder foundation.
• As a lip color, this can be applied on its own without lip balm underneath as it is very moisturizing.

Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
2-in-1 product users.  The shade light pink would work well on fair to medium skintone.

It looks a bit on the "deep pink" side on pan but do not be deceived!

Applied on lips

The color is quite natural, leaning on neutral baby pink shade.
