Happy Tuesday AMW friends!
Are you excited for a mini-nail art tutorial? I said mini because it is very quick and easy to do (yes, even for first-timers) and guess what? I've finally done a tutorial via video! YAY! I did the shoot only once so please bear with the super amateur video! I just had a time to do a quick nail art while Baby AMW was napping (and it was less than 2 hours) so I had to create something fast and easy PLUS Mr. AMW was at work so had to do the filming using a tripod so sorry if I wasn't able to focus on the nail!
My nail art design was inspired by GirlStuff Polish newest polishes from the Sophisticate collection. This collection has a gel-type formula which gave me the idea to create something that works even on a "formal setting".
The Marilyn and Sophia Swirl
L-R Marilyn, Diana and Sophia
Marilyn is a brownish red shade (aka Maroon)
Diana is a matte blue nail color
Sophia on the other hand is a perfect shade if you want to wear white but white looks too weird and fake on you! This shade has a hint of creamy pink tone making this perfect to work with any other shades if you plan to do nail art!
GirlStuff also added a new top coat called 24K (left) and a lovely base color called Luxe (right). I can't wait to use both soon!
Here's my first ever nail art video tutorial! Enjoy!
Now on to the Sophisitcate's newest collection, I agree that this looks like a gel-type formula because it has a very shiny finish. These are free from Big 3 so I'm comfortable wearing these polish even with Baby AMW around. The scent though is almost the same as regular polish and so far, they are indeed quick drying as I was able to attend to Kyle immediately after he woke up. The polish completely dried approximately 15-20 minutes.
Now let's talk about how long they last? Well, I am a perfect example of a nail-polish tester! I wash my hands frequently, I wash the dishes, I cook and I do a lot of typing! So far, without base and top coat, the polish stayed for a good 3 full days and on the 4th day, I see a small chip on my pointer finger. So I must say with the help of a good base and top coat? They may last even longer!
