How to Get Energy and Good Skin

Before I gave birth to Kyle, I was known as the #energizerbunny, I never get tired and you'll always see me in my hyper self!  A reader once commented telling me how "perky" I was online and he/she doubts I'm the same in person.

Well, he/she is probably right, I am definitely not the same in person.  Because online, I am more toned down, I am definitely perkier and more hyper in person!  People who have met me in person can vouch to that!

Unfortunately, my energy died down when Baby AMW came along.  As much as I would like to be the hyper bunny self, I find myself taking naps more often, drink more coffee as I get sleep mid-day, and I can't keep up with Kyle's energetic activities.  Oh no right?  Not when I am looking forward to enjoy Kyle's toddler years!

What went wrong?

During Kyle's first year, my schedule was way crazier!  Add the constant breastfeeding, lesser sleeping hours - I wonder why I'm more tired now than before!

Then I realized I didn't take my vitamins like the way I used to!  Because I fully breastfed Baby AMW, I used to take my vitamins religiously because I knew my baby will also gain from the vitamins and minerals through breast milk.

Aside from lack of energy, I also find my skin acting up more often!   And just so you know, I found some facts regarding skin that I would like to share:

  •  It is an organ –  and your body’s largest organ
  • Skin accounts for 15% of your body weight
  • There are two types of skin: hairy and glabrous (hairless)
  • The skin of your eyelids is only 0.02mm thin
  • Scar tissue is hairless and sweatless
  • Over 50% of the dust found in your home is of dead skin
  • You produce over 30,000 dead skin cells per minute
  • Sweat is actually odorless
  • More women than men suffer from acne
  • Vitamins A, B2, C, D, and E keep the skin healthy

See the highlighted part?

"Vitamin A treats sun damaged skin. Vitamin D reduces spots and growths. Vitamin C and Vitamin E are antioxidants that protect the skin from sun damage and rapid aging. And Vitamins B2, C, E, and Betacarotene promote overall skin health."
Thanks to Mr. AMW for bugging me to take my multivitamins again!

What is my multivitamin of choice?  Centrum (Php10.00 per piece)
"Centrum contains vitamins and minerals, like Vitamins A, B2, C, D, E, Betacarotene, that not only help nourish the skin, but also help keep energy up, boost the immune system, improve eye health, and fill in your daily nutritional gaps."

True enough, after just a week, I can literally feel my energy shooting up!  I don't get sick as easily (I recently almost caught cough and cold but didn't push through due to my constant intake of multivitamins). Aside from that,  my skin looks better than the way it used to - lesser breakouts, lesser dryness.

With all the energy and better skin...I have more time to enjoy quality moments with my little one.

My skin may not be in the best condition (as I lack sleep, drink too much coffee and I always skip my skincare routine).  But my skin definitely looks better as compared to the times I stopped taking multivitamins.  If you want to take care of your skin, aside from taking care of it from the outside, we have to consider to care and protect them from the inside by taking multivitamins daily!  It really works!
