Etude House Sugar Tint Balm Review

Who loves Etude House products?
Who doesn't?  Even for a Professional Make Up Artist who always visits Professional Make Up Brands, I can't help but get attracted to (at the start) the cute packaging of ALL Etude House products but on the latter part, I'm actually appreciating how good the quality of their products!

And the Etude House Sugar Tint Balm is not an exemption!  Imagine my kiddie clients that I mostly mix lip balm and lipsticks together just to lessen the pigmentation and make their cute kiddie lips look adorable yet not too made up?

Well, I found a nice product from Etude House and the best part?  These are not for Kids only!  I am using these on a daily basis too!

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm Review

They are called Tint Balm but they actually are highly pigmented with loads of moisture!
BUT!!!
Yes, there is still a but!  read further for more in-depth review!

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm Review

Etude House Sugar Tint Balm  says ---
This Sugar Tint Balm comes with a sweet color that gently melts onto lips for long-lasting soft and moist lips.

Size: 4g

Other shades available:

  • No. 3 Apple Kiss
  • No. 4 Tomato Ketchup
  • No. 5 Pink Macaron
  • No. 7 Grape Jam
  • No. 8 Blackberry Jam
AMW says ---
Pros
  • Packaging!  You see the shade of the tinted balm on packaging!
  •  Scent.  It has a minimal fruity scent which disappears upon application.
  • Not your regular tinted balm, it has really good pigmentation (like regular lipstick)
  • Hydrating.  It is still considered one of the most hydrating lip product I've tried (especially Cranberry Juice!)
  • Applies soft and creamy.

Cons
  • Lighter shades like Cranberry Tea could make dry lips appear "drier" or "flakier".
Neutral
  • Price.  Some who loves these will find it inexpensive.  While some may find this pricey considering it is a tinted balm.
  • Lasts maximum of 4 hours before retouch is needed.

Overall
These Etude House Sugar Tint Balms reminds me so much of Revlon Colorburt Lip Butters but with more hydrating properties!  The light fruity candy scent is really nice but not on the "yucky" level and stays on lips like most lip balms (shorter length than regular lipsticks).

Tips

  • Users with dry lips should moisturize or prep lips properly prior to application of Etude House Sugar Tint Balm.
  • Apply using the same direction as the lip lines to prevent flaking or feathering.
  • Best applied directly from tube.  No need for lip brush.
  • For darker shades, apply heavily at the center of your lips and press to create natural-looking gradient lips.
  • As always, feel free to mix several shades to create your own unique shade!
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Best lip product for summer!  Best used by everyone!

Where to purchase and how much?
Priced at Php498.00 (approx $11.30) available online or local Etude House stores near you.

Grapefruit Tea
Shade on tube: Reminds me of a baby matte pink lippie that everyone adores!

Cranberry Juice
Looks like a warm red lip color with orange base.

Swatch:
With my warm skin tone, Grapefruit Tea appears like a peachy nude lip color while Cranberry Juice turns into a blue-based red lipstick!

As much as I love how "pale and nude" Grapefruit Tea appears on my lips, it does create some flaking or dryness if my lips aren't moisturized properly!  But this is definitely my to-go-to lip color for summer and I tend to mix this with my favorite Happy Skin Shut Up And Kiss Me Lippie in The Morning After!
Etude House Sugar Tint Balm Review

As for Cranberry Juice, this shade is a perfect red lippie for summer!  Nothing too matte, too dark or too heavy, it is a red lipstick with loads of shine!  Another good pick not only for summer but for all seasons!
