Food For the Lenten Season: FisherFarms

It is true, when I mentioned over my IG feed how I was literally panicking when I realized we didn't go to the supermarket to shop for fishes!  It is the Lenten season!  I don't know why it slipped my mind!

Must be the fact that I still have work as I do not follow Philippine Holidays!  And also, let's add the fact that I have a 24/7 job as a mom --- so ayun, nakatakas ako!  hahaha

God is really good!  True when they say: "God Will Provide"  And He literally provided our household FisherFarms!

To where I shop for our daily meals, FisherFarms aren't available so this is a first for me to see them in the flesh!  I can't believe I've been missing these all my life!  They are so many "Fish variants" to choose from I just don't know where to start!

Well, I lied, I immediately cooked Fish Sisig and Fish Nuggets and the family loved them!  That includes our little "bossing" Kyle Nash!  He devoured 3 pcs of Fish Nuggets in no time and I actually don't mind because it is indeed a healthier alternative!

What can you expect from FisherFarms?  Well, loads of fish dishes to choose from!  They are definitely easy to prepare so as much as I love cooking, there are times my "lazy bones" kicked in so these are just perfect!

Fisherfarms Gourmet Baked Rellenong Bangus 800g
Microwaveable/ready-to-heat and can be baked or pan-fried or wrapped in a foil for grilling.  We actually had this last Maundy Thursday and we only ate half of the fish and was full!  This Rellenong Bangus is specially formulated by Chef Reggie Aspiras and it literally tastes home-cooked!

Bangus Sisig
Php79.00 for 200g
Fish Nuggests
Php73.00 for 200g
The 2 packs I tried first and I favor on Fish Nuggets just because I am really a "porky" fan when it comes to sisig!  But seriously, as much as the sisig doesn't look aesthetically presentable, the taste is just like your favorite regular sisig from a restaurant!

The Fish Nuggets came with Sweet & Sour sauce which you only need to heat it for a couple of seconds from the microwave oven and your Fish Nuggets is perfect!

Fish Frankfurter
Fish Hungarian Sausage
Garlic Fish Longaniza
Skinless Fish Longaniza
Out of the 4, I only tried Fish Hungarian Sausage for breakfast and you can literally taste the "bangus" without the "fishy taste".  All of these are certified no pork, beef or Chicken so they are certified Halal!

Fisherfarms Deboned Pure Milkfish Belly
Fisherfarms Smoked Deboned Baby Milkfish
The Smoked Deboned Baby Milkfish is smoked using virgin beechwood chips imported from Germany so it gives a smoky taste and juicy texture.  The Deboned Pure Milkfish Belly on the other hand came from Pangasinan perfect for frying, stew or sinigang!

Fisherfarms Crispy Bangus
You can't go wrong with Crispy fish and this is breaded so you don't need to worry about how to cook this!  I like doing a pan-fried version of Crispy Bangus and I love the fact that these are deboned!

Fisherfarms Bangus Barbecue
One of the most unique offering I've seen from the bunch!  You get 1 pc of cooked belly inside and Gluten-free!  Will share how it tastes on IG once I get to cook this! #excited

Most Fisherfarm products can be purchased at Rustan's, Shopwise, Metro Gaisano, Robinsons Supermarket, Cash & Carry, Unimart, Makati Supermarket, Landmark, Fishermall, Budgetlane, Cherry Foodarama, Daily Supermarket, Wellcome and some SM Hypermarket/Savemore and Supermarket.  The BBQ can only be found at S&R.
