Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer Review

I hailed Urban Decay Primer Potion as the best eye primer of all time and the inexpensive version will be the Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer.  Then the rest?  They all come in between.

Who would've thought years after, I could possibly find something that could actually bump Urban Decay down to the 2nd spot?  

Maybe..just maybe... Benefit Air Patrol.

The name is catchy, like most Benefit products and I like how it's uniquely called Air Patrol and yet, it is a BB Cream Eyelid Primer, can you see the connection?  I can't though...brain fart...please tell me! :P

Year 2014 is the start of Benefit's uniquely packaged product starting from Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner then to the "iron like" applicator Benefit Puff Off Instant Eye Gel, then they wanted more "uniqueness" added to their products and created a CushionCalm™ tip for their eyelid primer!  This is a soft, squishy, gel-like applicator that I wish they will re-use for their next eye creams!

Pros

• Packaging.  Very cute and unique.
• The CushionCalm tip applicator is very unique and relaxing to use.  It massages your lids upon application.
• Brightens the eye area as it has a "tint" that color corrects darkness and veins.
• Can make eyeshadow last longer, crease-free.
• Shadows look more vibrant.
• Creamy texture, very easy to blend.
• Oil-free yet non-drying.
• Eyeshadow applies easily due to the smooth "base" it creates.
• Finally!  An eyelid primer with SPF20.
• Can brighten the eye area.
• No shimmer.

Cons

• You have to clean the applicator after EVERY use.  (which isn't an issue for me but could be for some!)

Neutral 

• The CushionCalm tip applicator can be a PRO or CON, PRO for personal use, CON if you are a makeup artist and plans to use this on clients, you have to click product and apply using brush or clean fingers.
• Can't see how this product can help protect from environmental stress but I like the fact that it gives a "barrier" between my eyeshadow and lid which for me is good enough!
• Shade matching, it comes with one shade and tends to match skin tone once blended, I haven't tried this to a client who has extremely dark complexion so I can't tell if it'll work the same or will create white cast.

Overall
A color-correcting BB cream for the eyes, has SPF and can make eyeshadow appears more vibrant and lasts longer.  I call this product the daughter of Benefit's Lemon Aid (almost similar shade) and Benefit's Stay Don't Stray.

Tips

• Twist once for one eyelid.  
• Though this product is meant for eyelid, I actually apply a bit on the undereye area as it can brighten up the area and lessen dearkness.
• Once applied a bot of the product on lid, you can use the same applicator to spread the product, as for me, I prefer to blend using my fingertips.
• Application should be gentle.

Will I repurchase?
YES! 

To whom do I recommend this to?
Eyeshadow wearers or even non-eyeshadow wearers.  This can brighten the lid area with or without eyeshadow application.

I actually read every line!  Do you?

Twist the pen and the right amount of product will be dispensed.

It looks really fair and yellow on swatch but once blended, it appears almost invisible.

Can you see how pigmented and pretty the shade is with primer underneath?

 The good news is, the eyeshadow stays that way until removal.
