Choose Simple Skin Commitments + Join the Contest!

It is a great reminder from our friends from Cetaphil Philippines when they launched a campaign to educate Filipinas how to easily achieve healthy skin called Choose Simple Skin Commitments.

The campaign is telling us women that one's skincare routine need not to be complicated.  True to that!  I may be a Beauty Blogger who have so many skincare products to try but I always choose to simplify everything!  Use products that my skin needs and always focus on 3 important steps: Cleanse, Moisturize and Protect.  And the rest we may add and follow but the major steps should always be there.

My bare skin.  Not perfect but I still love it as it is! :D

Of course, it's never to late to take care of your skin!  Note girls, lesser skin problems, lesser makeup!

First step: Cleanse
The most important step of all!  Cleansing should be done in NO hurry!  This is the step were we get rid off dirt, oil, dead skin cells and others that could damage our skin.  Your cleanser should never be drying on skin, it has to be harsh to unwanted pollutants but gentle on skin!

On days, I use just the most simple yet gentle cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser works for all skin types and it never felt tight or drying on every wash.

Second Step: Moisturize
No matter what skin type you are, moisturizing is VITAL and I can never stress that enough!

Did you know that?  It takes only approximately 3 minutes before water evaporates from one's skin after taking a bath?  So it is very important to seal in moisture right away by applying moisturizing to keep water from escaping from the body!

One thing I'm proud off through the years?  On my constant application for moisturizer which helps keep my skin supple and smooth even to touch!

A gentle moisturizer you may try:

Cetaphil DailyAdvance Lotion Ultra Hydrating For Dry and Sensitive Skin

Third Step: Protect
One thing we all love to skip!  Sunblock application!  The best way to prolong "ageing" process of your skin is to protect it from the sun from harmful UVA and UVB rays!  I knew skin protection is so important I even kicked off my AMW Workshop Series with topics on Sun Protection!
One good brand of sunscreen I have tried is called Daylong Gel SPF50+  I love it for the fact that it comes with high SPF and it is super lightweight, non-sticky and non-greasy!  It almost doesn't feel like I have sunscreen on so I always highly recommend this to my friends who are asking me about sunscreens.

Of course, you guys can choose to pick products that works for your skin!  I am highlighting products from the "Choose Simple Skin Commitments" campaign!

  1. I agree that a simple skin care routine is the key to ageless skin. I wash with water on most days and just a basic cleanser when I have makeup on. I moisturize and use sunblock as needed but I don't obsess. My skin has never been better. I like to like Cetaphil but it breaks me out.

    1. hay I'm sorry it breaks you out! Hiyangan talaga, buti it didn't break me out considering I have sensitive skin!

  2. If you're a career woman the most precious thing in life is time and it applies in all things including your everyday routine...I actually skip toner as long as my cleanser is pH balanced. I also prefer moisturizing sunblock (I'm Oily skinned but I find Daylong a bit drying for on my dry skinned brother but on me it's fine) to cut more time :D

    1. Ahhh good for you that you understand the importance of skincare!!!
Daylong is drying on yoru skin? wow, and I have dry skin! I am surprised it works for me! I am actually in love with it especially the ones for Kids, I'm using it for Kyle's safety :D

  3. I like Cetaphil as well! Haven't tried the moisturizer though but I do love the cleanser :)
