Hairreve Giveaway on Instagram!

 

Hairfall, hair loss, hair thinning —- these are just some of the hair issues I actually don’t worry about because my only hair concern was Dryness, Frizziness and uhm...white hair!

That’s what I thought.

Because of the pandemic I have been stressing about my parent’s health for the past year and of course, my son’s well-being.  I found myself sleeping normally at around 3am (earliest) or around 4am. NOT HEALTHY...not healthy.  

That said, my stress is manifesting not only on my face but hair!  It doesn’t help that I don’t like to cut my hair as I am enjoying the length as I get to practice my hairstyling skills (Used to do hairstyling professionally BTW!)  I am seeing a lot of hairfall nowadays - I know...they are clogging my bathroom sink, and I have full hair whenever I vacuum our floors!  

So you think I have a full head of hair?  THINK AGAIN, I am a PRO Hairstylist so this was done with the help of hair tools!

With constant heating and styling, I also see a lot of hairfall in between styling!  Grabe, it gets more stressful than ever!  

Last year, I hosted a brand video called Hairreve, you can find the videos Part 1 and Part 2.  I learned so much about Hair loss and hair treatent from Dra. Rica Mallari of St. Lukes Medical Center.

We also interviewed Stephanie Lontoc who have gone through hair loss issues after giving birth and she mentioned Hairreve , a brand approved by FDA.  The bottle I got after hosting the event was actually used by my older sister who suffered hair loss for years!  After using a bottle, she repurchased another bottle at Mercury Drugstore for Php1,400 (Also available at Shopee) and I saw the vast improvement myself.

That said, I also got another bottle for myself and started using it before it’s too late!

To those who don’t know, hair rescue thickening serums can be used before you have the actual hair loss, this is like a serum for your face, you use it daily to prevent further or future hair fall!  That’s what I am doing now, PREVENTION is better than cure as they say!  I mean, if I can stop further hair loss, why not?

I have started using Hairreve for a good week plus and I like how it felt on my scalp.  It has cooling sensation and constant massaging gives a bit of a nice blood rush!  (I must be a really good masseuse! :P). 

Obviously I haven’t seen any huge difference as of the moment as changes can be seen as early as 2 weeks to a month or more!  (Depends on individuals!)

Because I have been a sheet mask user for the longest time and actually missed using "Modeling Masks" (I started with this type of mask way back when I was working in China).  I went ahead and tried Lindsay All-in-One Energizing Gold Modeling Mask for 7 consecutive days.

Unlike normal sheet masks, this you have to add water, mix it and gently apply on your face like a wet cement.  And just like any "wet cement" it dries and turn a bit hard.

AMW Gives: Contadina Package + Contadina Holiday Recipe

I have stocks of pasta and sauces in my cupboard for those days where I don't have enough time to cook, guests come over for a surprise visit or days I just feel like lounging in front of the TV eating my favorite pasta dish with the hubby.

If you come into my kitchen several months ago, you'll see all my sauces are mostly from Del Monte, so when I recently saw fellow Lifestyle Bloggers blogging about Contadina, I had to rush to the supermarket and purchase their sauces, which made me feel like I'm cheating on my favorite sauce brand for years!

Little did I know, after reading the Box of Contadina just because my son loves to read labels and boxes, it was a wonderful surprise to learn that Contadina is actually by Del Monte!  Now, that's not cheating at all right?  #hahaha

So it was even a better surprise when I receive a Holiday Gift package from our friends from Bridges because who can get enough of pasta and sauces especially the holiday season?

And because Mr. AMW loves Pesto, I whipped out a super simple dish using the Contadina PESTO Alla Genovese Sauce.

I usually like to post about contests on my blog that I think is super worth to join.  Just like the most recent Colgate Win a Scholarship worth Php100,000 promo.  What's even more exciting is when I get updates on the winners and I recently saw a video of Christelle Magpayo, the Php100,000 Colgate Scholarship Promo Winner from Pasig City.

The contest is REAL and it's even more real when you get to see the winners and heartheir stories!  The story of Christelle touched my heartbecause her desire to graduate is not centered on herself but on a loved one. Ask Me Anything with #AskMeWhats

Dear AMW Friends who are a super long time reader *group hug*  Thank you so much for being with me all through the years, it's almost a decade now can you believe that?  I can clearly remember those days ----

• Mineral make up craze.

• Building up my make up KIT.  Can you guys still remember my super small train case to a luggage size ZUCA train case today?
• Product swapping!  Thanks to international Blogger Friends who send me products that aren't available here!  (You girls know who you are!)
• My journey studying make up at Basement Academy.
• My journey as a make up artist (most of my works are posted HERE)
• Gigs that I got because of Blogging.  (Do you still remember my first big project as a Vaseline Road tripper?)
• Seriously, SO MUCH MORE!

And it is a perfect timing for me to share to AMW friends, especially new readers out there, how AMW originally started!

It was one boring day inside the office when I was done with my task (I work really fast guys!)  and I was there, sitting, doing nothing, thinking of ways to give back to the world in my own mini ways.

Guys, I didn't know I would be a make up artist back then.  I knew I can do random stuff like sing, dance, write, teach but never really excelled in any of those!  So I looked back to my younger years (naks, ume-emo!) and thought, I wasn't hailed "Dial-A-Friend" for nothing!  

You know, I was only 10 years old when older friends would come up to me to seek for advice.  Real-life advice!  I may not have the knowledge of an adult but I knew I have this gift of "empathy".  I understand how a certain person feel when they tell me their problems, I put myself into their shoes and really acknowledge their weakness!  Don't ask me how it happens but I call that a special GIFT from God.  I may not have the right words to say but a reassuring hug, adding some of my crazy antics can actually help ease up the trouble away! 

Yes, I was a "mommy" even before turning into a real mom!  And I wholeheartedly accept that.  That's when I thought of creating an "Advice" blog (AKA AskMeWhats), for random strangers who needed someone to talk to, just to lessen their burden without being judged!  

And who would've thought it evolved into Beauty-centered?  It was a wonderful surprise but each day, I get random emails from readers asking me advice not only about beauty but life issues in general!  That's when I realized AskMeWhats really is more than just a Beauty and Lifestyle Blog...and I wanted to let you guys know that I am NOT just a person to talk to when it comes to Beauty, I am your ONLINE friend, you can talk to me about anything that bothers you and there won't be any judgement at all --- guys, too busy for that!  hahaha

But seriously speaking, I am so happy to say, AskMeWhats version 2.0 is definitely better, and to celebrate that, I have a series of Workshops (aka BONDING time) with my readers and the first one will be this coming Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Benefit, SM Megamall Branch.

AskMeMom: My Ultimate Dream For Kyle Nash

What is my ultimate dream for my son Kyle Nash?

Well, I can't say just one in particular but off the top of my head, I have so many wishes for him ---

• I wish he will be respectful.
• I wish he will have more friends, true friends to guide him by.
• I wish he will be a responsible citizen.
• I wish he would be successful in whatever path he plans to partake.
• I wish he grows up to be like his dad --- Loving, caring, a gentleman.

The list could go on and on!  

But to jump-start making my hopes and wishes for him, I spend and invest a lot of my time and effort in making sure he is equipped with the right tools to be the best he can be!

That explains why I am extremely hands-on with him.

In his earlier years until today, I take time and effort in teaching him the basics --- on how to be patient, on being respectful to people around him, in being grateful in little things he receive on a daily basis and a lot more!

On to the academic side, I also take time to teach him the basics --- reading, writing, speaking and listening.  It wasn't an easy ride, everything is done at his own pace, I never force him to do things he doesn't like to do because he only gets to be a baby and toddler once, and I want him to have a pleasant experience like I did when I was growing up.

What's Your #FossilStyle ?

The brand Fossil has been part of an important event in my life!  You know how Chinese have engagement parties and usually, would go for super expensive watches to display?  Mr. AMW went for the opposite route, we're both practical and chose for a watch that we can both use on a daily basis!  And it was Fossil watches we picked!

So when I got an invite to visit the Fossil boutique at Shangri-la Mall, I knew I had to be there and see what's up!

The store amazed me!  I haven't been to this particular store, heck, I haven't been shopping at stores for quite some times so imagine my amazement when I saw this!

Choose Simple Skin Commitments + Join the Contest!

It is a great reminder from our friends from Cetaphil Philippines when they launched a campaign to educate Filipinas how to easily achieve healthy skin called Choose Simple Skin Commitments.

The campaign is telling us women that one's skincare routine need not to be complicated.  True to that!  I may be a Beauty Blogger who have so many skincare products to try but I always choose to simplify everything!  Use products that my skin needs and always focus on 3 important steps: Cleanse, Moisturize and Protect.  And the rest we may add and follow but the major steps should always be there.

Of course, it's never to late to take care of your skin!  Note girls, lesser skin problems, lesser makeup!

First step: Cleanse
The most important step of all!  Cleansing should be done in NO hurry!  This is the step were we get rid off dirt, oil, dead skin cells and others that could damage our skin.  Your cleanser should never be drying on skin, it has to be harsh to unwanted pollutants but gentle on skin!

I am very vocal with my feelings to a person!  I can tell you everyday how much I love and appreciate you and I can tell you straight as well if you wronged me.  I totally believe in HONESTY.

I was having a meeting with brand partners who are turning into good friends a couple of weeks ago.  Kriska, whom I have shared so many good and bad times with shared to me how she thinks of me as someone who loves to give compliments and shower people with simple gifts as a Language of Love.  That statement struck me, she is right! 

So as much as I do that unconsciously, I am appreciating how God gave me the gift to see the good of anyone I face and little do I know how much that can make anyone's bad day into a good one!
