Fashion: All White with a touch of Hot Pink

 I remember seeing my mom in her 40's in pants ALL her life until the time of writing.  She is very conscious of her varicose veins and I wished she would wear more shorts and skirts because she has gorgeous legs!  Perfectly shapes, very flawless --- my sister and I would always tell her that she's got the best pair of legs among us - screw varicose veins but I cannot force my super conservative mom.

Growing up with that in mind, I have told myself I'd wear more shorts, skirts and expose my legs as much as I can before I end up having varicose veins!  I do have some on my feet but who cares right?  I am so grateful to be born in this era where Self-Love and Confidence is the best form of love for oneself.

That is such a long intro for just an outfit post *laughs*  I hope you accept my apology but #sorrynotsorry here :P  I randomly picked this outfit on a cooler weather when me and my husband headed out for a lunch date.  I wanted something comfortable and to protect myself when I tend to get cold inside an air-conditioned restaurant or mall and an outfit where I can easily remove my outer sweater when it gets hot.

Have You Met Kyle's Feet?

Funny reality: Kyle owns more pairs of shoes than his dad!  

It's cute though as he is starting to play favorites.  He knew which particular pair of shoes he will pick and it usually matches and works with the outfit he is wearing!  

I've posted a couple of his new shoes and his most recent ones are from the brand Meet My Feet Kids.  Unless you live under the rock with no internet, I'm sure you heard or seen this brand because their endorser is the cutie Scarlet Snow Belo.

I've visited Meet my Feet Kids store at Glorietta mall a couple of times and it is easy to fall in love with their pairs even if your child is a boy (which most designs are limited to just a handful as most shoe brands focus on girls!).  

It is different with this brand and thankfully, aside from the "porma" I want, the shoes are comfortable enough for Kyle to walk and run!

Weekend Vibes

Two years ago, Vionic Footwear was officially launched in the Philippines, I was there!  (read post HERE).

I picked a simple blue Rubber Shoes-like pair and have been using it in all my out-of-country trips since then!  It is that comfortable I choose that even if it looks worn out!  It gave me support and comfort no matter how many years I've worn it!

And recently, I added another pair of Vionic Shoes to my collection.  Known for a footwear that gives hell pain relief and designed to help with foot alignment and arch support, I don't mind getting another pair since I personally have tried and tested this brand.

I can't seem to find the exact name of this pair but you can easily find them in Vionic Shoe Store locally.  Their footwear prices ranges from Php3,000-Php6,000.  They are on sale from Nov. 8-11, 2019 - 30% off select items!  I advice you to visit their physical store and try them on for you to feel the difference!

As much as I am very particular with my skincare and makeup products, I've said it a couple of times here on my blog that I am also very particular with the shoes I wear.

#TrueStory Even when we're inside a different shoe store and we would ask him to pick a new pair, he would always shout for "Dr. Kong please!".  Such a loyal kid!  :P

AMW Wears FSJ Shoes

I was offered to try out a pair of shoes from FSJ Shoes, an online shoe seller.  I was literally wowed by the wide range of shoes.  I mean just try to go to their site and you'll know what I'm talking about.  

Thankfully, I knew in my heart heels that are 4inches higher won't work for me no matter how gorgeous their designs are!  So it was an easy decision for me to browse through their "chunky heels" category and picked 3 inches below!  

My eyes laid on the Retro Black Chunky Heels Sandals Peep toe Buckle Angle Straps (USD74.99) and I was sold!  

After ordering, I got the pair of shoes in about 2 weeks time (Free shipping) and I was surprised this was delivered straight to my doorstep with a fee of Php100.00 (with receipt).  Not bad, I mean I can't vouch on having them delivered straight to your doorstep ALL THE TIME as it really depends on your postal service location!  

The pair came right on time when I attended a Dior Stellar Lipsticks launch, I was asked so many times on DMs about this pair of shoes and guess what?  This was super comfortable and I don't need to "break in" these pairs because the leather was so soft it doesn't hurt my sensitive feet!  Most importantly, the height of the heels are just right and seriously, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I drove home with them!  

I can't wait to pair these with my favorite pair of jeans or even shorts and more dresses maybe?  I love how versatile this design is!

Daily Casual Wear

If possible, I want to own a lot of rompers and jumpsuits in my wardrobe because it is the easiest to pick in the morning with the least decision-making skills!  I mean, seriously, no need to mix and match or even think about color-matching!

One of my favorite romper is this pair from Uniqlo, I've worn this several times changing accessories and shoes.  I love to pair this with my gray flats but recently, I bought a new pair of shoes from ShopTaryn (Marikina-made shoes) and I've been loving this combo so far!

P.S. Was so lucky as the pair was on sale!  From Php899.00 to Php540.00!  The quality is really good and no pain at all!

This black number has 1-inch heel which is perfect for busy moms on-the-go!  I love the pointy tip making it look casual yet chic at the same time!

I love comfortable footwear.
You all know that by now.  I seek for comfort rather than trend.  But, if that can be combined, why not?  And thankfully, local footwear manufacturers such as Taryn (proudly locally-made from Marikina!) combined both comfort and fashion!  I am so in love with their styles I am actually wearing them so many times on several occasions!

Dressing Up My Style

One thing for sure, I am NOT a fashionista.

I don't go by trend but if the trend is something I'm comfortable with (Hello Off Shoulders!)  I would wear them like no tomorrow!

My style has always been girly, frilly and all-things sweet and nice.  Even my close friends and family can tell: "That's  a Nikki-Outfit!"  

A Nikki-Outfit will always be loose, does not hug all the bumps and flabs instead, it covers and makes me feel like I can even join you in a buffet table! 

But that does not stop me from looking made-up, confident and good.  Because wearing nice clothes does not need you to be in a particular shape or size....

I used to be a size 4, size 6 then size 14.  I went through my slimmest stage of 104 pounds up to the heaviest of 145lbs (I wasn't blogging back then!), I am not at my best weight at the moment but one thing I'm positive of, I keep myself healthy by eating right, walking and running as much as I could and of course, I wear that huge smile to distract people from my flaws.

Because nobody is perfect!

So for this rare instance, I'm sharing one of my favorite Nikki-Outfit post which I wore during our Facebook Live event at Eastwood Mall a couple of weeks back!  Only half of my body was shown during the FB Live session and someone messaged me and asked me where I bought my TOP so I've decided to showcase this dress in its' full glory :D  Because I'd wear this over and over again!

I've seen Dr. Kong Shoes stores several times but never thought of going in the stores to try out their shoes.  Why?  Because based from experience, those footwear brands who market themselves to be super comfortable are mostly uncomfortable!  

Because I have always been very particular about my footwear of choice, I have to thank Yen Dreyfus for inviting me to Dr. Kong's 6th Birthday Party with my son!  Because through her, I get to understand and try the brand that both me and my son are starting to love and seriously depend on!

Cole Haan Launches 3 New Collections and I'm Loving the New Store!

I knew about Cole Haan way back when I was still working abroad.  Saving up my hard-earned salary for a good pair of leather shoes - because I feel good wearing it as a Professor in a University at the age of 23.

So when I got an invite to celebrate the opening of Cole Haan's 7th store in the Philippines, I knew I had to be there as I felt the brand has played a vital part in my career.  (Girls, wearing a good pair of shoes will take you EVERYWHERE!)

Fashion Tips For Rainy Season

Rainy season is definitely here as we experienced a full week of heavy rains last week!  With the crazy and extreme unpredictable weather, I am not only armed with umbrella and jacket inside my car but I also bring in with me extra footwear!

But again, rainy season footwear doesn't have to be boring especially nowadays when we are spoiled with so many brands and styles to choose from.

AMW Wears: Yosi Samra v2.0

You see me wear heels most of the time on event photos but I have a tiny secret --- I always have extra flats inside the car or bag!  

I can't survive wearing heels the whole day like most of my friends do, I spell heels with "hells" so many times I think it sums up my feeling whenever I wear them!  And flats aren't as comfortable as they seem, I've tried so many brands out there and there are only a handful that I can totally say: "Truly Comfortable."

 So when I got an invite to check out Yosi Samra's core collection which is also their v2.0, I, for once, who owned a couple of v1.0 had to check these out.

The store was located at SM Aura and I immediately spotted the pairs I like to own!  But first thing's first, are they more comfortable now?

I tested a pair over and over again and even had to wear them chasing after a toddler at a park, inside the mall, carry him up and down several flights of stairs just because he doesn't like walking!  Checking my toes and feet right now, they look alright!  And I feel great!

I have tons of clothes that I can mix and match on a daily basis but when it comes to my footwear, I may have a lot of pairs but there are only 2-3 pairs that I really use on a daily basis.  They don't look as fashionable but they are comfortable enough.

FitFlop™ Loves Anna Sui Launch

You all know FitFlop™, who doesn't?   But how does FitFlop™ looks like when joined forces with Fashion mash-up master Anna Sui?



This collaboration, FitFlop’s third with Anna Sui, is equal parts magic and logic, mixing playful and pretty with everyday practical.  The collection consists of Ballerina flats and if you ask me, I'd go for the pineapple print ones just to be playful!

The event held last October 7 at FitFlop^TM Shangrila Mall branch was star-studded, hosted by Janeena Chan and they also had a contest for some attendees.
