Cas:Pace is HERE in the Philippines + OOTD

 I know my blog name is called AskMeWhats but do not ask me why it took me so long to update this Blog!  I guess this is the longest so far and I missed sitting here in front of the computer (eating cashew nuts as of the moment) as I came back from a treatment from Marie France.  

That would be a totally different topic but for now, I am introducing a new phone case brand that arrived in the Philippines!  

CAS:PACE

Cas:Pace drived from the words CASE + SPACE and the brand was founded year 2018.  I guess Casetify is older because I have been buying and collecting Casetify cases for so long. It was until recent I have been seeing fellow content creators posting their Cas:Pace Shibuya iPhone Case, Baby Machine Quicksand iPhone case and a whole lot of cute Japanese-inspired designs.

Since me and my family loved Japan so much, we traveled a total of 3x just within a year, I knew I had to grab my hands on this.

But don't get me wrong, I am not just into cute cases, I always go for cases that will protect my phone and will last me a lifetime - well, not really, until I change my phone model!

And yes, you'll be seeing me use this case as it comes with Magnetic ring which works for my phone holders.  

Now on to my favorite OOTD of the week.  Top is from an old purchase which I totally forgot where but the pants are TDF!  Butter colored pants from Pink Lemon Wear!

Versatile, perfect length and comes with different colors!  I plan to get them all!

OOTD: Call it Business Casual

 If I can stay inside a coffee shop for good, I'd do so!  I remembered staying daily in a random coffee shop spot at Quezon City because I would drive my son to school at 7am and pick him up at 12nn.  Instead of driving home to traffic-infested Manila..I would just take this opportunity to try random coffee shops and stay there for hours as I bring my laptop to work virtually.

Now that my son is already in Grade 7 - whew, time flew by sooo fast.  Staying in Random Coffee shops happen on weekends instead!  When I bond with my family or friends!  I still take this oppotunity to wear something nice and comfortable for me to feel good.

This look is one of my fave.  Both top and bottom I bought in a random Bazaar!  

Smart casual, very business meeting appropriate and very Nikki-style still!

Black and Orange OOTD

 

A pairing I never thought I'd enjoy!
BLACK AND BRIGHT ORANGE.

I got the Rivka Pleat Square Neck Romper from Love, Bonito online last year.  I have worn this Romper so many times I can't keep track.  

Though I do keep track on wearing these again and again on random events, from Birthdays to Brunch with girlfriends and now, to events.  I want to up my Orange Romper Game into a more cocktail-like setting.  Cute enough to hold a glass of champagne with this but still comfy enough because this is NOT a dress but a ROMPER!  

It also comes with pockets!

To make this classier, I paired this with a Celine thin belt and wore black heeled shoes with ankle straps!  I always get compliments wearing this pair from HK.  

Though high, the shoes are comfy to walk around Makati.  Yes, I tested it out parking far away from events place and I survived.

Elevate Your Regular Fit

 

How do I elevate a regular errand fit?  By adding a nice structured blazer!

It also helps that you pick shorts in neutral shade that has pleats and a good length.  Not too long nor too short.

The shorts is my favorite cream shorts from Love, Bonito.

A nice classy belt also does the drink!

And lastly, a nice blazer that I shopped from Rihoas.

It also helped to change your regular flats to heeled shoes and you're off to a classier vibe!

Green on green Casual Wear

I used to dislike long skirts as they make me feel small!  But fast forward to growing older - way older - and maybe a huge change in fashion on how people are more open to different fashion style.  I find myself leaning more on to long, flowy skirts as opposed to short skirts which I used to love years back.  

I have to thank Motherhood for that.  Motherhood changed not only my outlook in life but also my fashion style.  I always wear clothes that can make me move freely.  Yes, even with an 11 year old, I still need the energy and freedom to move around because BOYS will always be BOYS :) 

During the summer, I enrolled my son to a Kiddie Chef program at TGIFridays and I was there daily to watch over him.  That said, it was a trial and error method as well for me in fashion sense to try styles I haven't tried before.

Because waistcoat is a thing year 2024, I picked my favorite waistcoat I bought from SM Department Store and paired it with a green long skirt which I bought from a bazaar.

Paired my super comfy Skechers flats, I kinda like this look a lot and would totally repeat this look!

It's comfortable, I don't have to worry about legs showing whenever I sit down - high chair or sofa or even if I squat to help out my son, I felt comfortable enough to say - I am a cool yet fashionable mom!

That's how I felt and confidence is key to a successful look!

Shorts but make it Formal!

 

My wardrobe is filled with shorts, if you live in the Philippines or in any tropical country in general, you’ll understand why!

Thankfully, brands like Love, Bonito are making shorts that can pass up with more than a casual vibe.  I got this unique green colored shirt in Leatherette format from Love, Bonito x Coleen collection.  It is probably not available anymore but you can always check their site for some nice comfy shorts that can double up as meeting shorts.

Paired with a dressy white polo top!  I was quite surprised I have a pair of shoes that is the exact same color as my shorts!

I attended an event with this look and I was so comfortable with this I plan to use this shorts again pairing it to maybe with a different top?

Sunday Chill Fit

I can't believe it's finally August! 
July passed by in a more quiet manner than June because we stayed mostly home because my son got sick 2-3 times.  Too bad he's going back to school and we haven't done much going out of town which was supposedly our original plan.

So to make sure he enjoyed something, we've decided to visit family or friends and just have fun.  Aside from that he enjoys going to malls and visit bookstores so this is my relaxed fit.

I like low heeled shoes as opposed to flats and this was a perfect shade that goes with my skirt!

Paperdolls Dress

 

I love A-line dresses and I love it more when it comes in "battle green" or any deep green shade as this color is unique for clothes at the same time works so well on my skin tone!

When I did a shopping visit at Paperdolls x Adam & Eve store at Shangrila Mall, I was so happy I found this dress and it fits me perfectly! 

This is the Paperdolls EMERY SLEEVELESS DRESS (Php2,699.00)  which is also available in light beige.

It comes with a wide belt cinching your waist making me look like I have really good waist shape

 (but none in reality as I have quite a straight door-like body LOL)

I also like how the A-Line skirt made my waist appear smaller!

Hot pink OOTD for Casual Weekend

I was invited to attend the opening of Gashapon at Greenhills Mall a few months back and we had a scheduled dinner with our Godmother and Godfather who came back from the US for a short visit.  

That said, I want to wear something comfortable and even perfect for some weekend Food Trip!

I call this my Hot Pink Hi-Low Look.  High Low because of the assymmetrical top!

I paired this look with my favorite easy-to-tote along bag from Rory and Sloan.  
Spacious and fashionable.

I also wore my favorite comfortable flats from Dr. Kong which I bought in Hong Kong.  Fret not, I saw these available locally!

And there are good hair days and this was it!  I love how my bangs looked here!

Apple & Eve Casual Dress

 

How does it feel to work for 12-hours straight doing various hairstyles for a shoot?
I told myself I need several cups of coffee, yummy food and a super comfortable dress.  And I picked this from Apple & Eve!

This is the Apple & Eve Asymmetrical Micro Print Shirt Dress Php2,699.00 and I got it in size Small.  The fit is quite big giving room for movement and this would work even as a cute maternity dress!

It was one of the most comfortable and stylish dress this even made it to the photoshoot!  it was originally not intended but it looks cute on camera so why not?

I also paired it with my favorite comfy Dr. Kong Shoes.

White and Pink Will always be Classy!

 

I love the color combination of Blush pink and White in fashion.  I felt so girlie and youthful.  Whenever I wear such combo, I always get complimented on how fresh I look even if I pair this with a pink a blazer under a 40Degrees Celsius weather!
