Sunday Chill Fit

I can't believe it's finally August!
July passed by in a more quiet manner than June because we stayed mostly home because my son got sick 2-3 times.  Too bad he's going back to school and we haven't done much going out of town which was supposedly our original plan.

So to make sure he enjoyed something, we've decided to visit family or friends and just have fun.  Aside from that he enjoys going to malls and visit bookstores so this is my relaxed fit.

Top: Plains and Prints
Bottom skirt: Bazaar

I like low heeled shoes as opposed to flats and this was a perfect shade that goes with my skirt!

How do you like this look?

Pink and Red is my New Black and White!

I am back with my favorite OOTD combo!  Blush pink and bright red!

I have this red skort from Plains & Prints for some time and it was my best purchase and most used skort as of the moment.  As part of a Chinese community who uses a lot of bright reds for EVERY SINGLE Birthdays that we celebrate, I wanted to look a bit different this time for my sister's 50th birthday!

The shoes has been receiving compliments as well on my Instagram post and I am proud to say, I was able to squeeze my way to get this last pair in Dr. Kong Hong Kong!

My bag has been with me for years, it's from Anello and bought to me by my dearie Husband Mr. AMW because he knew I tend to use and abuse my daily bags and he was right!  Every single scent iw worth it!

Please do not think I am at Starbucks without coffee!  The Venti coffee is already in my stomach and the apple juice is Kyle's!  :)

Hope you like my cheerful OOTD as it feels as comfortable as it looks!

Have a great Friday!

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

AMW Wears: Busy Mom's OOTD

I plan my outfit the night before, because I get only less than an hour to prepare in the morning (because sleep is Life!) :P

Most of my days, I wear casual outfit as it just entails me to drive my son to and from school and run errands like Grocery Shopping, Bills Payment, Bank Visits and a lot of those tasks that do not require me to look good.

But at least once or twice a week, I insert meetings and events ON TOP of the tasks mentioned above.  So planning an outfit is actually a talent I've been mastering for years.  I am not the type who would change clothes in between (too hassle for me as I would rather save up on energy!)

Last week, it was a FULL day and I needed an outfit comfortable enough to last me through humidity, sweat and stress.

I came up with this and was able to celebrate Benefit Party with Jared Bailey at a Posh Furniture Store in Makati!

Top: Plains & Prints, Pants: Bought from Korea, Shoes: Zalora, Watch: Philip Stein and Bracelet: Charriol
A white top you say?  To last you through the day?  Well, thankfully, this white top I bought from Plains & Prints comes with a very nice fabric.  It does not easily wrinkle and it does not easily get dirty too!  (Yes, surprisingly, it looks spic span white even nighttime!)  The added "choker" detail added an oomph to the simple look making the overall outfit look more in trend!

Let's give a moment to celebrate this wide-legged trousers!  This is stretchable, garterized and you can actually wear this even if you're pregnant!  The fabric is extremely soft and stretchable!  I can run with this I swear!  And you know the best part?  I can easily lift the pants up when I'm driving which "shookt" the life of my #yayaTab !  (Walang poise but who cares?  Comfort is life!)

AMW Wears: White Chic

There are days I will have the mood to share my OOTDs and today is one of those days!
I am not calling myself a Fashionable person but I know my style.  I'm a type of girl who can actually go through stores in less than 5 minutes and know if something would work for me or not!  Call that a talent, but my husband was actually the one pulling me into stores to SHOP and can't believe how I can see everything and "know" nothing would work!

I guess, I knew my style, my body type and my needs.  And today, I'm sharing some tips how I mix and match my outfit making me look like I have gazillion of clothing items, but in reality, I just have hundreds (Joke lang!)

Whenever I purchase an item, I usually go with fashion and trend and maybe purchase 1 or 2 pieces and match it with old pieces to update my wardrobe!  I also like prints but I try to keep it at minimal and invest on key pieces.

Since Blogging Events started, it is a requirement to own Black and White in your closet because most of the time, the event calls for it!  So now, you see me invest on gorgeous white pieces just like this one which I got from Plains & Prints.

The piece calls for a nice pants but I want to wear it several ways!  For this one, I went for my old Forever 21 skirt and it looks like a complete dress!  What do you think?

As a mom, I usually prepare early in the morning and go straight to event after sending my son back home!  I also make sure my outfit is comfortable enough to be worn the WHOLE day, at the same time, easy enough to move for driving, to look care for my son!

I am actually surprised I survived the whole day without messing up my top!  Again, it must be another talent I didn't know I have!

Plains & Prints x Mark Bumgarner Collection Launch

When I first got an invite for Plains & Prints x Mark Bumgarner Collection, I knew I had to clear my schedule because Mark Bumgarner is definitely a name to watch out for in the world of high fashion.  I've seen his work a couple of times especially on Heart Evangelista and his fashion screams classic, feminine and show-stopping!

Now, I did a bit of research and you would be surprised to know that Bumgarner, born and raised in the Philippines, is actually an auto sport racer in Europe, the United States and Canada and finally found his calling as a fashion designer!  And what struck me even more is that he was largely self-taught, he had no mentors and no fashion-designer friends!  He was just surrounded by creative people during his work years and learned so much from there!

You want his piece but don't have the Heart Evangelista budget?
Lucky YOU and Lucky ME!  Mark Bumgarner is bringing his fashion sensibilities over to RTW in a collaboration with homegrown fashion brand, Plains & Prints.

The Plains & Prints X Mark Bumbarner collection features 13 designer pieces that include four dresses, five tops, one pantsuit, and three bottoms that lend Mark Bumgarner's signature aesthetic to pieces that are more casual and wearable.
According to Mark: "We took inspiration from the Anahaw because it is our National Leaf and is endemic to our islands.  We also chose the Waling-Waling prints because it's considered as the 'Queen of Philippine Flowers' and one of the most prized orchids in the world."
