Mom and Son Twinning

 

Kyle and I seldom "Twin" because TBH, this mom is LAZY :P

Working from home since Kyle was born plus doing house chores and a lot of cooking.  Twinning would be the last thing I need because I am just too tired to think! :P

But since it is Kyle's summer vacation and at the age of 9 years old, he is more aware and wanted to share good memories with me, he was actually the one who decided to do this Twinning moment and I got the idea of doing the transition video for Instagram just to keep this moment forever!

I got both striped top shirts from Shopee.

I love how he readily posts with Mommy! I wished he'll stay this way even when he is a teenager!

Have You Met Kyle's Feet?

Funny reality: Kyle owns more pairs of shoes than his dad!  

It's cute though as he is starting to play favorites.  He knew which particular pair of shoes he will pick and it usually matches and works with the outfit he is wearing!  

I've posted a couple of his new shoes and his most recent ones are from the brand Meet My Feet Kids.  Unless you live under the rock with no internet, I'm sure you heard or seen this brand because their endorser is the cutie Scarlet Snow Belo.

I've visited Meet my Feet Kids store at Glorietta mall a couple of times and it is easy to fall in love with their pairs even if your child is a boy (which most designs are limited to just a handful as most shoe brands focus on girls!).  

It is different with this brand and thankfully, aside from the "porma" I want, the shoes are comfortable enough for Kyle to walk and run!

Seeing "PROMO" or "SALE" is one of the best feeling in the world!  What's even better?  When the sale happens for a brand that your family loves!

Since Kyle started school, he wears Dr. Kong and loved this shoe brand so much we ended up going in every single Dr. Kong stores he sees (in every single mall) to have his foot assessed!  He just loved the idea of having his foot assessed and loving more that the shoe brand he wears is Dr. Kong! 

#TrueStory Even when we're inside a different shoe store and we would ask him to pick a new pair, he would always shout for "Dr. Kong please!".  Such a loyal kid!  :P

We Love to "Twin" !

Do you tend to do a bit of "Twinning" when you and your family?

I usually don't?  Because I have a son and you know fellow mommies how hard it is to "Twin" with your son especially when you live in the Philippines.  Unlike in other countries, there are so many clothing options to "twin".

Thankfully, I had a bit of "me" time shopping one fine weekend!  I stopped at a Giordano store and saw all these gorgeous Classic Giordano shirts and I immediately asked the SA available shades for both Daddy, Mommy and Son!  I was given 2 options, the yellow pieces or grey!  I went for the latter because I want something really classy that would work for our recent Swimming trip at Casa Primera Laguna!

We look cute with our matching Giordano pieces right?  Just for fun, I pulled out both Giordano top and bottom for ALL of us!  I love how put together we all look!

Space Adventure at The Mind Museum

When your son live and breathe space since 2 years old, you'll know the Space Adventure at the Mind Museum is a MUST place for him to visit!  

Grateful that my dad's situation was better during the weekend of Space Adventure Grand Opening.  After rushing back from my dad's home, I went with my family to the Mind Museum and let me indulge you with Kyle's happiness!

Okay, he didn't look THAT happy in this photo as he was itching to rush to activity after activities and I kinda forced him to take a photo first for remembrance!  hahaha

With a Saturn cap on my head, the mom is also ready to feel the excitement!

Kyle's Stride Rite Pick

It was after his successful Christmas Performance at the Greenhills Theater when we've decided to be crazy (in terms of traffic) and travel from San Juan to Makati!  It was a full day just to celebrate Kyle's first performance EVER at a huge theater!  

We took him to his favorite Quantum and played his favorites games, he had a cup (or 2) of gelato, he strolled inside National Bookstore and picked his favorite book and the last stop?  We brought him to Stride Rite for his new pair of shoes!

As you all know, it's the Star Wars season so Mr. AMW laid his eyes on this Stride Rite x Star Wars Collection!  These 2 pairs are our top picks.

Bata Shoes for the Family

For a super busy individual (yes, I use the term individual as Mom and Blogger is just 2 of the many hats I wear on a daily basis!)  Buying gifts during the holiday rush is one of my least favorite activity!   As much as I love shopping, I do most shopping online because I just dislike the crowd!

But some things are meant to be seen and touched especially if you want to buy something extra special for your loved ones!  So I found a store that can actually satisfy the "Family List"!

I took rounds inside the Bata Philippines Store at SM Makati and took notes on the perfect gift ideas for each family member, of course, these are just my suggestions, you can always mix-and-match based from their personality and likes!

For Moms

Moms do not have to look like they are meant to stay at home, for me, moms should always look fab because that's how I think every MOTHERS are --- FABULOUS!

So the New Arrivals display of  bags and shoes are my gift-suggestions for the special woman in our lives!

Dr. Kong Shoes For Mommy and Son

I've seen Dr. Kong Shoes stores several times but never thought of going in the stores to try out their shoes.  Why?  Because based from experience, those footwear brands who market themselves to be super comfortable are mostly uncomfortable!  

Because I have always been very particular about my footwear of choice, I have to thank Yen Dreyfus for inviting me to Dr. Kong's 6th Birthday Party with my son!  Because through her, I get to understand and try the brand that both me and my son are starting to love and seriously depend on!

Dr. Kong Healthy Shoes Shop is known for their "Check and Fit" foot examination and insole fitting service. 

I was able to try this during the event.  Nothing complicated, all you need to do is stand on top of this "machine" and I will know my feet condition for the sales staff to recommend the most suitable pair of shoes!

#KyleNash Is Cool, He Wears Swag Junior

 As much as I would love to share to you a PERFECT Toddler OOTD, that won't happen because I have a cool son like that!  Always running around, energetic, cheerful and just being a...KID!

Okay, I can give you a better shot....he is finally standing perfectly with that "naughty" smile, but gosh!  Look at that messy hair!

Kyle Nash Wears: Eazy Fashion Starry Starry Kid Slip On Shoes

Remember the 2 pairs of shoes I ordered from Eazy Fashion for Kyle Nash?

Well, we overused it because for the fact that it is a "slip on" shoes making it easy for me or hubby to whenever we're out!  We usually go out as a family without yaya so as much as possible, simple tasks like helping him wear shoes should be easy and quick!  

Fellow mommies out there would understand how toddlers are --- impatient and always in a hurry!  

So yes, the queen of Online Shopping (That's ME!) went ahead and got another pair!  This time it is the Starry Starry Kid Slip On Shoes.  It was size 27 and the shoes came in a bit loose but it's okay!  I like the extra "space" because you know how kids are --- they grow up too fast!

And we tested this pair immediately over weekend... Kyle seems extremely comfortable and there's no need to "break in" his shoes!  It was like his old pairs!

The Philippine Launch of UNIQLO Baby

When my son was still a baby, I tend to dress him up in cute outfit that would make everyone goes "awwww!" whenever they see him.  But, most of the time, I go for "blah" clothing as long as he feels and look comfortable.  Can't we just combine but cuteness and comfort?

YES we can!  All thanks to the Japanese Clothing and High-Street Brand Uniqlo!  I always find their clothing to be super comfortable so I trust them when they say their Uniqlo Baby Wear are categorized as Class 1 - the safest classification under the Oeko-Tex Standard.  From raw materials used to the finished product, all the clothes made are formalin-free to ensure the health and safety of babies.

I'll share more about those information later on but let me share to you the photos during the launch!

 UNIQLO Baby was formally launched at SM Aura branch last week.  I was right at the nick of time (sorry, long story!)

The event was hosted by Delamar of RX93.1 and she introduced to us the newest addition to the "UNIQLO MOMMY" (I coined that term!  Don't quote me! :P)  Ms. Nikka M. Garcia (the wife of Patrick Garcia) who is now I think 6 months pregnant?

How Do I Deal With "Mommy Burnout"

I am a mom for 2.2 years to be exact, you want me to tell you how the "ride" was?

Well, I'm physically tired, I'm sleepy most of the time, my body aches here and there and oh!  24 hours a day is NEVER enough!

Mommy and Son Bonding

Whenever we visit the mall, my son is on the stage where he doesn't want me to let go of him!  He's scared of shiny floors!  (any moms who can relate to this?)

So to solve this issue, we take him out for a walk, he prefers granite floors #lol!  Or any non-shiny, non-slippery-looking floors!  And here he was super happy with his "I'm finally free!" walk with momma!

If there's one particular place that makes him the happiest boy alive, it is NOT the toy store but a bookstore!  Our favorite hang out place?  National Book Store or BookSale!  He got my genes!  (Ahem, sorry hubby!)

#KyleNash 's First OOTD

My baby AMW is definitely a big boy today!  Looking at his photo, I can't help but reminisce on that moment when I held him in my arms --- all 4.2lbs of him!  Yes, he was underweight and super fragile.  Looking at him today, I want to give Mr. AMW and myself a pat on the back for a job well-done!  Yes, first-timer parents here but we're doing a great job!  (In my very humble opinion :P)

As I browse through KN's photos, I chanced upon this cute OOTD photos of him that I want to post!  Dear AMW friends, do not expect me to do a series of KN's OOTD ha?  It is VERY difficult to take outfit shots of a very active toddler!  *laughs*

But that fateful day when I took my parents and brother to Hot Star, as we were waiting for our orders, Kyle grabbed his dad's phone and did this pose...thankfully, we are quick, and took this shot!
