Favorite Family Restaurant at Shangri-La Mall

One of our favorite "Family mall" is Shangri-La Plaza mall for SO MANY REASONS!

Convenient parking space, nice array of restaurants and shops, clean washrooms and just nice ambiance!

For some reason, when we are famished and tired, we always ended up at CPK restaurant (California Pizza Kitchen).  I have to commend the staffs for always giving us GREAT Service (one of the best if I may say!)  and I love the huge serving of food we order every single time!

These are just some of our favorite orders!  We were just too hungry I didn't get to take down notes on price and food names but hey, can we just chill this Sunday and just enjoy food photos?

I don't know about you, this may not look like a Big Deal to some of you but this is a HUGE milestone for the AMW household!

Yes, I have a Grade 1 student by next schoolyear and I can't help but feel dramatic about it, I seriously do not have a baby anymore :(

My friend teased me: "You still have around 15 years to go!", there will come a time we'll look back at these digital photos with Kyle himself and just talk about it like it was yesterday.

So I am definitely seizing EVERY SINGLE MOMENT like it was "Oh!  Seems like yesterday!".  Because I want to look back and say: "I never regret every single moment I spent time with you Kyle!"

I love it so much I frequent there for meetings, for bonding with my parents and family no matter how traffic it could get in the area. 

I just love the vibe, the helpfulness of the staffs and the wide variety of restaurants to choose from because we are self-proclaim "Foodies" at heart!

Have you ever wished how you can taste different food/dishes from different restaurants in ONE go?

It is POSSIBLE when Shangri-La Plaza rolled out a delicious spread for mall guests for a culinary event called GourmetFest.  Happened last October 18 until October 21 - you still have time to experience new flavors and revisit old favorites! 

Aside from that, mall guests can enjoy live demos and workshops led by some of the best chefs in the country!

And I was able to sample the roster of restaurants part of the GourmetFest --- 22 of them in total I only get to sample 3 or 4 of them and I was stuffed! (yet happy!)

I've seen what it is during the launch of Warble at Shangrila-Mall early this week.  I am happy to announce that my own style of playing with Kyle is similar to what they offer.

Lots of shapes, colors for the babies, toddlers and kids to touch and feel.



Action songs guided by teachers for them to have constant movement to encourage creativity, social skills and motor skills development.

I love how the Alphabet Phonics song were introduced with kids holding colorful sticks and going along with the letters of the Alphabet.

People -- my brother is back for a vacation!  All 4 of us (brothers and sisters) are close and I would say, I don't play favorites, but since I don't get to spend much time with him as he works abroad, I like to bond with him as much as I can (amidst very busy shedule).  Since I was off to Ortigas for a short meeting, I've decided to take him to one of my favorite restaurant inside Shangri-la Mall --- Spatzle Euro Market Cafe. (Favorite that's why I was there twice this month now!)

This year, I probably dined in this restaurant the most if we talk about restaurants inside the said mall.  We even had our event here during the Cathy Doll Philippines Nude Me Launch!

So back to Spatzle, my brother loves anything Carbonara so I've decided to go for..

Chantecaille Fragrance Launch

I've been beauty blogging for a decade now and at the back of my head, I still have a couple of brands under my "wishlist" to available locally.  One of the brand is called Chantecaille, this brand is not only known for their makeup line but also their Rose De Mai skincare and Fragrances.  

The launch happened last week at the Art of Scent store, Shangri-la Mall.

Weekend Food Trip at: Akira, Shangri-la Mall

I frequent Shangri-la Mall a lot for meetings and get-together with friends, but seldom do I go there with family because Ortigas area has always been known for the crazy traffic!  But when I've decided to take my mom and dad out (with my dad using wheelchair), I've decided to take both of them to Shangri-la Mall because it is one of the most Senior Citizen friendly mall to date (that I know of!  Let me know your other mall choices!)

Note: All the guards and staffs at the malls are extremely helpful so I'm very thankful since I had to take care of both my mom and dad and I was alone that time!

So anyway, back to taking my parents out, it's really not about shopping but us catching up on our lives by dining in a restaurant and maybe stopping again for dessert or coffee at a different place!  Since it was lunch time that time and I wanted both of them to try a restaurant they haven't tried before, I've decided to take them at Akira.

Akira restaurant offers Japanese dishes, from Sashimi to Sushi and Sushi Rolls, you get the usual noodles, appetizers and rice bowls!  

Why I Enjoy Visiting Shangrila Mall!

Whenever I have a meeting at Ortigas Area, I am happy whenever client says "Shangrila Mall".  First off, there's a good amount of parking spaces and I can always opt for Valet Parking if I'm lazy (which never happens by the way).  Second, the washrooms are extremely clean and you know how long it takes for me to travel from Manila to Ortigas, a bathroom break is NECESSARY.  Third, the place is quiet so I can easily talk to my clients and even catch up with friends!

During my recent trip at Shangrila Mall, I got even happier when I saw several Japanese-inspired displays!


For the whole month of July, everyone visiting the mall will get the taste of everything Japanese to commemorate the 61st Annual Filipino-Japanese Friendship month.

The brand Fossil has been part of an important event in my life!  You know how Chinese have engagement parties and usually, would go for super expensive watches to display?  Mr. AMW went for the opposite route, we're both practical and chose for a watch that we can both use on a daily basis!  And it was Fossil watches we picked!

So when I got an invite to visit the Fossil boutique at Shangri-la Mall, I knew I had to be there and see what's up!

The store amazed me!  I haven't been to this particular store, heck, I haven't been shopping at stores for quite some times so imagine my amazement when I saw this!

Weekend Food Trip at: SumoSam Shangri-La Plaza Mall

Happy Sunday everyone!  So, I've finally gotten the chance to return to SumoSam at Shangri-la Mall after a not-so-happy experience dining there a couple of years ago!  It was with Blogger friends when our orders came in SUPER late and our Teriyaki Chicken dish arrived burnt!  I remembered telling myself I won't go back to this branch again.

Not until one weekend when I was craving for Japanese-fusion dishes and finally went back to give this restaurant a second chance.  Well, I can't say I am super impressed but I'm glad this time, the food experience is better than the last.

Weekend Food Trip at: Spatzle Euro Market Cafe

When you combine good food with great company, the day always turns out even better than expected!  Not even traffic could ruin my day!

That was several days ago when I had a lunch meeting with a good friend, owner of Girl Stuff and Solique polishes.  We were supposed to talk about the Holiday collection but as always, we ended up catching up with personal matters!  

I'm actually a "sweet" person to have lunch/dinner date with!  I always like to share our food because 1. It is sweeter that way and 2. the main reason is, both of us can try out more dishes!  Smart move right?

Janina wanted to try out Spatzle and I'm glad she picked that restaurant because I always pass by that restaurant and wondered how their food tastes like!  I'm glad we've decided to split up our meals because we got the best of both worlds!

Weekend Food Trip at: Kettle

I had so much fun yesterday at the Philosophy SM Mega Fashion Hall branch!  And because I like to keep souvenir on each of my workshop (a.k.a. Photo-op with the store's most distinct area), I chose, again and again, the famous Tub!  And I'm so happy how they were decorated not only with Philosophy's bestselling bath products, they also include 10 lootbags for attendees and ONE huge bag for the major prize!  Amazing right?  THANK YOU SO MUCH Philosophy Philippines for inviting me and my readers to grace your lovely "abode".
