Tony Moly Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base Review

I have always been a sucker for cute make-up packaging but mark my word when I say they never cloud my judgement when I start to review the product itself!  The launch happened last August and it took me quite some time to "ooh and aah" over the packaging and tried #Adulting for once and finally, I'm ready to share my in depth, honest-to-goodness review!

But seriously..ang cute niya no?

Tony Moly Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base is housed in a little tube packaging that I originally thought was a lip balm of sort!

Upon twisting up the "balm", I was shocked!  It was literally white in color and I was assured and reassured by the SA so many times that this is meant to brighten the eye area.  I had to pick it up eventhough the makeup artist in me was screaming: "This Won't Work!"

Description from packaging:

The panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base is a portable stick-type eye base that is used around the eye area to help lighten up dark circles.  It's supposed to contain Haloxyl which is meant to help lessen undereye darkness after several use.

Swatch:
The texture is quite thick almost feels like a balm, but fret not, it is not greasy at all!  It needs a bit of effort to blend and I highly recommend to use eye cream or moisturizer prior to applying this (for users with dry skin).

As for application, I make sure to apply ample amount of eye cream, wait for a couple of seconds before I apply Tony Moly Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base all over the eye area!  Starting from the undereye area including the eyelid.  I immediately warm up my fingers and gently pat the product for it to settle into lines or wrinkles (if there's any).

If you have extremely dark undereye circles, please note that the product will enhance and highlight the dark spot so it is best to "correct" and conceal the area first before you do any eye brightening.  Treat this product as a Brightening Eye Primer that you use after base makeup application.

Before and After
I normally would correct and conceal my undereye area first, but for the sake of product review, I applied the Brightening Eye Base on its own and it does help brighten and even out my eye area.

Now here's the best part, applying this on the lid works as an eyeshadow base making your shadows to appear more vibrant and crease-free!

On the downside, once the skin around my eyes get dehydrated, I can literally see some of the product creasing up.  How to deal with such issues?  Just warm up your fingers again and gently pat to "melt" the product and blend effortlessly.
