Hello from the "Daily Contour and Highlight Princess" (yes, I was very cautious in NOT using the word QUEEN) #Mapaghahalata
I am surprisingly hitting the pans from one contour powder to another! That proves I've been constantly using Contour products as much as I use my brow products (which meant...grabe na talaga!)
For someone who doesn't get to go to beach trips as much as I did several years ago, you can't blame the girl for wanting to add some color to my face! Just check out how a contoured and highlighted face (even with minimal makeup) can make a difference!
Aminin niyo, meron, I looked like I had a nice dose of Vitamin E over the weekend no?
And recently, I got to try Cathy Doll's newest palette called 3D Face Forward Contour Kit. Packaging is cute, inspired by the Egyptian Queen I believe!
Only complaint? The shade names are crazy! So difficult to remember! (You just don't know how many times I take a peek at the shade names while typing this post!)
The palette is rectangular shaped with a small "clear window" for you to see the shade even without opening up the palette. I wish they translated the cute box print to the plastic palette itself but the simple packaging isn't bad! The plastic isn't flimsy and I can actually take this along with me wherever I go! (You only need to bring your own brush to apply!)
Box description
In every palette, you get a Contour Powder, Highlight Powder and Blush!
#1 Cleopatra Secret
The lightest contour shade out of the 3! This palette is perfect for those who have fair to medium skin! The blush shade is a light shimmer peach color.
Swatch
#2 Nerfertiti Weapon
Dark shade contour powder which is perfect for everyone! Fair skinned gals can choose to apply the contour shade with light hand strokes. The copper colored blush is very flattering to most Filipinas! It gives warmth to the complexion.
Swatch
#3 Sphinx Seduction
Medium shade contour powder that would work also for all skin tone! The pink blush is a gorgeous rose pink shade with sheen.

My favorite out of the 3 3D Face Forward Contour Kit is the Nerfertiti Weapon palette. Though the contour powder is a bit dark for daily contouring, I like to use this on special events when I know I'll get photographed!
How to apply? Best to use an angled face brush to contour the area below your cheekbones.
The highlight shade is best to be applied on the highest point of your cheeks! You may choose to use a brush or fingers (for more precise application) but always remember to blend it well with a clean brush after!
As for the blush, I like to sweep a very tiny amount on the apples of my cheeks blending the color together with the contour and highlight powder!
When it comes to contour and highlight, less is indeed more and feel free to adjust the intensity of the blush depending on the look you are planning to achieve.
Before and After
Overall, the Cathy Doll 3D Face Forward Contour Kits are worth checking out for! The brand is Thai but the product is formulated in Korea so you'll understand the right amount of "glow" the product gives! Each palette contains 11g of product which is good enough for daily use!
As for the powder texture, it isn't extremely silky or dry, the texture is just right but pigmentation is definitely good as I get a nice color in just a single swipe.
What's good about this product is that, they can double up as eyeshadow powders and you can also use the same product to contour other parts of your face and body.
Cathy Doll 3D Face Forward Contour Kit is priced affordably at Php299.00 (approx $6.65). For brand/product information and details on where to purchase, you may visit them on http://lifestrong.com.ph/product-category/cathy-doll/ , Like them on Facebook, follow them on IG @cathydollphils
After seeing my "contoured, highlighted and blushed" face,
do you think Cathy Doll 3D Face Forward Nerfertiti Weapon kit
is something you're looking for?
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
Those are really nice. :) And the names are very Egyptian.
ReplyDeleteI agree, difficult to pronounce but very unique
DeleteI'm not good in contouring. I barely contour my face when I put on simple makeup, but I would love to learn amd practice more. This palette is really a good buy for its price it is already complete on what a girl needs. The packaging and name is really unique.
ReplyDeleteahhh I love contouring talaga! and I love how inexpensive these are
DeleteI guess I should get (Queen) Nefertiti too though, to be honest I still don't know how to put bronzer in my face lol!
