When I first learned about the Korean skincare brand Esfolio from a very good friend (you know who you are! :P) I was told one of the bestselling, "must-try" product from the brand is the 2Step Multi Oil & Peeling Cleanser.
I was taken aback with the word "PEELING", that's why it took me a while to actually use this (clearing my schedule, making sure I do not have anything important to do that week), I finally took the plunge and used it after Cathy Doll's All Dolled Up Event, since I had heavier makeup on that day, I went home and used this with a bit of a "thumping heart".

Esfolio 2 Step Multi Oil Peeling & Cleanser Says ---
"Is a multi functional cleanser. The 1st functions a cleanser that effectively removes dirt and impurities from the pores. The 2nd functions as a peeling agent that eliminates old sebum and dead skin cells.Effects: Great make-up remover, cleansing and micro peeling."
Housed in a very simple "toner-like" packaging.
I actually like the cute yet simple design printed on packaging. You can actually see how much product is left (which I really like!)
The nice surprise is the "pump" packaging which makes it extremely easy for me to dispense the right amount of product needed. As for my whole face and not so heavy makeup, I would usually use 2-3 pumps.
I like how the product doesn't squirt out in random directions or I get uneven amount of product dispensed. There's no second-guessing in Esfolio's 2Step Multi Oil Peeling & Cleansing bottle.
The right amount to use for my whole face for minimal makeup (2 pumps), I add another 1 or 2 if I wore heavier makeup.
I like to massage the product on my "dry" face concentrating my brows, forehead, cheeks and chin. Reading the instructions only, it wasn't clarified if this product can be used on eyes, but since I have sensitive eyes, I've decided to forego this step.
The texture is "gel" to start with but upon massaging on face, it turns into a "watery" petroleum gel-like texture! I can't say it's oil because it doesn't feel greasy on my face but it does melt off my makeup like a cleansing oil.
Note: I did say I didn't use this on my eyes on a daily basis but for this particular photo, I actually massage through what's left on my hand the product on my eyelid and it does melt off my eyeshadow, I just had to be careful to close my eyes and not let it get into my eyes! #DoNotTryThisAtHome #JustProvingSomething #AMWReviews
Once I see most of the products are "melted", I went ahead and washed my face with lukwarm water and wipe off with a clean towel using "dabbing" motion.
TADAH!
In person, there are a few of the liquid liner left and all I need to do is to use a gentle eye makeup remover and a cotton bud and gently wipe off excess makeup (liners and mascara)! This is a very important step no matter WHAT face makeup remover product you use to prevent eye allergies.
Here's what I have to say about the product after using this for a month (not regularly, around thrice a week max) ---
- Loving the pump packaging.
- A little goes a long way!
- My skin does not "peel" as the name states, I guess what the product meant was this product can "peel off" grease, dirt, grime and makeup.
- After constant use (max of 3x a week), my skin doesn't feel dry and it actually appears healthier and brighter. (I did not use or add on any new skincare products).
- The product has a gentle scent which is calming and relaxing.
- Skin feels smooth and soft after use, BUT, if you have extremely dry skin, you have to immediately hydrate your skin with heavier night creams.
- Does not create flaky skin.
The Esfolio 2Step Multi Oil Peeling & Cleanser, I believe, works for ALL skin types. It does not cause me any skin breakouts or further skin drying.
