Dual-purpose products are really the thing for the season! I have recently been using the Kill CLIO Conceal-dation for several days now (check out my #AMWIGStories), Conceal-Dation means Concealer and Foundation which brought me back to the first "hybrid" base makeup product I've tried for the past months!
The Etude House Big Cover Concealer BB
(Concealer + BB Cream in one!)
Looking back, I wish I completed all the Big Cover line for review!
Shade: SAND
Etude House Big Cover Concealer BB Says ---
Strong and long-lasting covering and moisturizing. Advanced Applicator tip: Easy to apply.
Available in 3 shades – Beige, Vanilla and Sand
Pros
- Bottle is glass and has a bit of weight which I like.
- The applicator is so cute! A big doe-foot applicator meant to be used on face.
- Can also be used to apply smaller areas by using the "tip" of the applicator.
- Matte finish with a hint of dewiness.
- Medium to medium heavy coverage.
- Can cover certain skin issues like dark circles, red spots, light freckles etc...
- Does not oxidize.
- Comes with SPF50+
- No white cast (Surprise!)
- Does not oxidize on me.
- Doesn't dry out the skin or settle into fine lines.
Cons
- Darkest shade SAND will appear light on most Filipinas.
- The applicator is cute but imagine putting back the dirty doe-foot applicator into the product and let it sit there for a while?
Overall
Highly pigmented BB cream/Concealer Hybrid. This gives a good coverage and does not feel heavy or thick yet it covers major skin issues quite good! Long-lasting for normal/dry skin and a bit of retouching is needed for oily-skinned users in about 4 hours or so.
Tips
- Use the Applicator to "grab" product instead of using it as a "tool" in application for hygiene purpose.
- If you find this product too drying, don't be afraid to mix a tiny amount of moisturizer for better blending.
- A little goes a long way.
- To prevent product from fading midday (especially to combination and oily skinned users), set the product with oil-control powder.
- Please do not skip sunblock application even if this product comes with SPF50!
Will I repurchase?
Since I don't use full face base makeup much on a daily basis, this bottle will last me a long time! I'll probably go ahead and try other brands but I will highly recommend fair to medium skin users to give this a try.
To whom do I recommend this to?
Users with normal, combination, dry skin.
Where to purchase and how much?
At local Etude House stores priced at Php898.00 (approx $20.00)

Photos
The unique doe-foot applicator.
The tip can be use to "spot conceal" while the bigger portion can be used to apply on larger areas. I Prefer to use this just to "grab" product and use a separate tool, for the sake of review, I actually used this applicator.
Swatch: Sand
Sand is the darkest shade which isn't a perfect match for me because of its' neutral tone, but I like that it blends well into my skin upon application.I like to apply thinly all over my face as shown on photo below adding more on areas that needed more coverage. I use a separate sponge to blend everything together.
Before and After
Spots around my cheeks, redness on the sides of my nose a undereye darkness covered!
Half Face Test
Overall, I am liking this product as long as I apply in moderation! It gives me that dewy-healthy-looking skin finish that I like and all I need to do is set properly with a face powder/powder foundation.
Have you tried any of the product from the Etude House Big Cover Line?
What's your favorite?
So far, the Big Cover Concealer BB is turning out to be my favorite among the other 2 I've tried because for the fact that it has maximum coverage without drying out my skin or making my skin greasy or oily. Same as most K-beauty products issue, I wish they have more shades available especially for those who have darker complexion.
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
Whoa you look fresh Ms. Nikki but I observed, K bases have great lightweight formula with heavy coverage the ceveat is that I can't find a tone match.
