Laneige Two Tone Shadow Bars Review

So Laneige recently launched their Milky Way Fantasy Collection which is said to reflect the beauty of the enchanting universe in its sparkling packaging.

True enough, the packaging caught my attention but you get the pure, simple, Laneige-like packaging on all their products!  I am instantly drawn to the Two Tone Shadow Bars because it has a rose gold shade to coordinate with the white packaging.

The two limited edition shades I got is called Smoky Dust and Milkyway Burgundy which I actually used and tested.  I am unsure if these two shades are still available but other two tone shadow bars are definitely still in store for you to try and check out especially if you are new to eyeshadow application and you want something quick and easy!

Swatch
Smoky Dust - Dark greyish brown shade combined with a champagne shadow.
Milkyway Burgundy - reddish-pink shadow combined with a shimmery white combo.

Application:
The darker portion of the two tone shadow bar should be at the "base" and gently press on inner corner of the eye and gently swipe outwards as shown on photo below.

The effect is very subtle so if you are aiming for higher pigmentation, you may repeat 2-3 times.

Same application with the Milkyway Burgundy.

Tip: It is very important not to be "OC" in terms of application, it won't appear even as you like which makes it fun to use!  I like to swipe around 2-3 times and gently blend out harsh edges with a brush or with my pinky finger!  The effect is very subtle because of the shimmery texture.

As for longevity, these types of eyeshadow do not last longer than powdered shadows!  I find the two tone shadow bars will slide off easily especially for users with oily skin so it is very important to use an eyeshadow primer, or in my case, I pat the "finished look" with translucent powder to absorb excess moisture to prevent eyeshadow from creasing.

This product is indeed VERY EASY to use even for first-time eyeshadow wearers!  The shade combination are very pretty so you won't go wrong with any of the two.

I only wish they don't slide off so easily because you really need to take this with you for retouch!

Which among the 2 shades do you prefer on my eyes?

Laneige Two Tone Shadow Bars are priced at Php1,200.00 (approx $27.20) available at all Laneige shops - Trinoma, SM Mall of Asia, Robinsons Manila, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Aura Premier and SM Megamall.
