Revlon Insta-Blush Review

Every Beauty Blogger in this world probably blogged or talked about Stick Blushes but seldom do I hear raves about them.

Why not?

Well, aside from the fact that it is indeed a great invention --- twist-up stick, easy-to-tote-along and use, can blend using just the tip of your fingers...

Why not?

Most of the time, based from my experience, they are hard to manage in terms of blending and they do not last the whole day!

Revlon recently came up with their own stick version of a blush called Insta-Blush.  As the name states, this product can instantly give you the "blush" you want on your cheeks anytime, anywhere with ZERO tools!  After using this nifty product for at least a month, I'm ready to share my thoughts!

Revlon Insta-Blush Says ---
"Our sheer, blendable blush is mistake-proof. The luxurious, cream-to-powder formula creates a naturally flushed, beautiful kiss of color. Use on the apples of cheeks for the perfect finishing touch to a contoured or highlighted look— Anytime, Anywhere."
Available in 4 shades: Candy Kiss, Nude Kiss, Rose Gold Kiss and Berry Kiss.

AMW says ---

Pros
  • Packaging.
  • The cap shade is similar to the shade of the blush.
  • Easy-to-apply.
  • Blends like a dream
  • Not-streaky.
  • The effect is very subtle and natural
  • Gives a bit of added glow on my cheeks.

Cons

  • I wish they have more colors available.
  • I wish they last longer.  Same lasting power as powdered blush.
  • The initial "tip" of the stick blush is sticking out so I've dented my stick blush so many times whenever I close the cap.

Overall
A cream-to-powder formulation that is quite sheer so the shade is definitely build-able based on your liking.

Tips

  • If you have oily skin, best to be used on top of your powder to prevent product from sliding too much due to oil.
  • If you have dry skin, you may apply this on bare skin.
  • Best used with clean fingers in blending as the product is not as creamy as I've imagined, it's almost like a "powder blush on stick".  So I find this to be perfect even for oily skin users.
  • Berry Kiss is a universally gorgeous shade, fair to dark complexion can wear this shade.

Will I repurchase?
Yes but definitely different shade.

To whom do I recommend this to?
Women-on-the-go who doesn't have time to do their makeup in the morning.

Where to purchase and how much?
At local Revlon counters priced at Php575.00 each.

  1. Cream to powder tend to not work for me as I have dry cheeks! But the shade is super pretty though!

  2. Wish they have contour shade ;) The color is very pretty though I think if I'll be the one using it...it will need a light hand (it looks very pigmented.
