Tarte Tarteist Review

How does it feel to hold the most coveted Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow?
All thanks to my good friend Jheng for gifting me this because this palette deserves a shoutout and lots of "whistling" for being wonderful in terms of giving me the sculpt and glow that I want (and need!)

So pretty I can even skip applying face powder!

"A highlight and contour palette with six pigmented powder and cream shades to create perfectly glowing, chiseled looks on every skin tone."
This product is housed in a velvety black cardboard palette.  I like the feel but I actually felt it gets dirtied up quite easily so I tend to put it back in the box after EVERY use (which is a hassle by the way).

According to the brand, this palette is inspired by makeup artist techniques and you will achieve highlight and contour like a pro using this palette!  The palette includes rich, cool undertone shades to mimic real shadow and light reflection to achieve the most natural look.

This set contains:

  • 0.17 oz/ 5.02 mL Cream Contour in Shade
  • 5 x 0.17 oz/ 4.81 g Highlighting Powders in Lit (champagne highlight), Strobe (pearl highlight), Fire (bronze highlight), Stunner (opalescent highlight)
  • 0.17 oz/ 4.81 g Powder Contour in Sculpt

  • Lit - a frosted light peach shade with warm undertone.  Has loose sparkles. A nice highlighter for users with light to medium skin tone.
  • Fire - champagne-like shade with light golden brown frosted sheen.  A perfect highlighter for users with medium to darker complexion.
  • Shade - A cream contour.  This is a medium to dark brown shade with warm undertone.  I find this a bit difficult to use if you have dry skin!  Lasts longer than powder contour.  Works well on users with medium to dark

  • Strobe - light beige highlighter with peach undertone.  A perfect highlight powder if you want the drama!  Gives high shine!
  • Stunner - another dramatic highlighter for fair complexion.  A cool undertone highlighter with gold shimmers.  This is meant to be used if you want reflective highlighting!
  • Sculpt - medium-tone sculpting shade with warm undertone.  This is my favorite to use to warm up my face but pigmentation is a bit weak so you have to pack the color if you need more drama when it comes to contouring.

As for daily use, I like to use the shade Sculpt and apply all over my face to warm it up!

Adding more on the lower part of my cheeks and I also use this to contour my nose.

For highlight, I go for Strobe because it gives an instant "lift" especially when applied on the highest point of my cheeks.

For more drama, I add more using my fingers.

And to give my cheeks an overall glow, I like to use Fire and apply directly on the apples of my cheeks, tip of my nose and even my upper lip area!

On days I want extra color, I can add on a blush to warm up my cheeks, but on days I just like that "I woke up like this" effect, I just use this palette and leave the rest natural.

VOILA!  Here's how I would wear the Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow on a daily basis.
