Weekend Food Trip at: Pamana, Tagaytay

The long weekend is a perfect time for the family to bond and where's the nearest place to bond near the Metro?  Tagaytay!  Though I've been in this city gazillion times, it has always been a wonderful experience with the family (or even friends) bonding there!  Amidst the crazy traffic, our little boy (and us!)  had so much fun!

I've done some research on good Filipino Restaurants around the area and Pamana Restaurant  popped on my Google Search.  Did a bit of phone call and was told I can't do reservations during holidays, it's fine though as we arrived 2:00pm for late lunch and the place was not as jampacked anymore!

Note: Dine outside and you get the lovely view of Taal Volcano.

Cebu Lechon Belly Roll
Php650.00 for half
For half the kilo, you get 3 thin slices of this belly roll and I find this a bit too drying for my taste.  It comes with "atsara" and lechon sauce, the taste was alright but I wish it wasn't as dry.

Sizzling Sisig at Aligue
Php310.00
Pampanga style sisig with Aligue on the side.  This dish comes with egg and all you need to do is mix everything together and work this with garlic rice!

3 Way Adobo
Php395.00
3 types of adobo!  1 pork Adobo slow cooked in native spices, another one is a crispy Adobo Flakes (which everyone loves!  Even Kyle!)  and the third was Chicken Adobo cooked in aged vinegar.  All 3 tastes good and is a must dish to order!

Bulalo
Php575.00
Really flavorful Bulalo soup!  It was said that this soup is a family specialty and I have to agree, every bite brings back so much "family" memories!

Garlic Rice
The rice was too dry on that day!  Thank goodness for Bulalo soup that I heavily rely on!

Overall, the food was okay, the restaurant is really comfortable to stay in, parking is always full on a peak season!  Though some of the dishes were a let-down, I almost forgot all about it because of the servers who were extremely friendly and helpful!

We may have ordered some dishes that aren't as yummy as expected but I'll definitely go back to try other dishes!
