When the Fenty Beauty broke the beauty world with a loud bang, I was just one of those "chill" gals who never thought of owning one!

After watching Youtube reviews, reading in-depth reviews on the said foundation, I knew this has HIGH coverage, a super matte finish and works really well on Oily Skin.

Everything that I don't need and want!

BUT, because a lot of you have been messaging me to review one, I finally went online on a Black Friday Sale to get this foundation discounted about 10%

First impression, I already love the thick glass packaging that comes with a pump.  I love it whenever I hold a foundation and I can actually feel it's weight!  

Based from online swatches, I picked shade 130 which is a WARM LIGHT.  I am choosing between 130 and 140 but the latter was out of stock so it was an easy decision to go for 130 because I don't mind lighter foundations, I can easily adjust them!

Now let's talk about its' consistency, it is a liquid foundation that slides and blends easily upon application BUT, it dries off pretty fast so you have to work really fast especially if you have dry skin.

This foundation puts a whole new meaning on "A Little Goes a Long Way", because it really does!  I highly recommend to use 1 pump and blend each area well before you apply for more!  It gets overwhelming to try to create an even base especially if the foundation dries quickly.

As for coverage, it is buildable.  If you like light to medium coverage, apply this product with a wet sponge or better yet, add your favorite face oil or gel creams to change the texture of the product.

If you like the FULL coverage, apply with fingers, dry sponge or dry brush.  This can cover any form of skin issues from redness, undereye circles, zits and acne marks as long as you pick the right shade for you.

Here's how I would naturally apply Fenty Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.

I like to apply dots using my clean fingers on key areas and quickly blend with a damp Beauty Blender for softer effect, dry Beauty Blender if I wanted more coverage.

After applying a "soft" first layer using damp sponge, I get a dry sponge and apply another light layer (this time dry) on areas that needed more coverage making the Fenty Foundation a concealer as well!  See how heavy the coverage was?

As you can all see, the shade is perfect for me and if I wanted more warmth on my skin, I can easily dust a bronzing powder or contour powder on key areas to highlight some areas of my face.

I love how it is long-wearing, non-drying if you prep your skin well prior to application and how naturally seamless it looks on both photos and in person!

Again, the downside is that, it is difficult to pick the right shade for you especially if you are not used to shopping online for foundations.

Second, this product dries really really fast so if you are quite slow with your foundation application, this could be an issue as you may see some foundation patches.  Third, the price of course, it is difficult to invest on something you can't seem to try first or is unsure whether the product works or not.

As for me I am quite happy with the purchase, it is not my daily foundation for sure but I don't mind picking this up if I need full coverage.  I also like the fact that it is full coverage yet my skin still looks like skin - healthy, bright and just flawless!
