Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow Review

Goodness.  When I think about the brand Make Up For Ever and you ask me about their Brow Products, the first product that will appear on top of my head will be the famous AQUA BROW.

So famous I never owned one --- until recently.

What is wrong with me?  *laughs*  I guess when people are raving so much about a particular product, I give it a rest and just accept that they are good and think that my readers have enough reviews online and won't probably seek for my opinion anymore.  (Yes guys, ang daming kong drama sa buhay! :P)

But what changed?  Well, it was when a make up artist used the product on my brows, I immediately told myself -- screw reviews!  I just want one!

As you all know, most tested great brow products aren't on top of my dresser table, ALL of them are inside my PRO Kit because I value clients more than myself!  (Not good guys, SELF LOVE dapat! hahaha)  But anyway, I've decided to put this on top of my dresser and think of this product as MINE, not for testing!  And thankfully, it stayed for months!  And I'm loving it!

Keep in mind though that I don't use this daily, I only use this on days I attend meetings or special events because I'm always a pencil girl (Especially when I'm rushing and doing 5 minutes max makeup).  This requres extra brush and you know how it is when you're a busy mom --- anything extra should be deleted in your life!

Swatch: Shade 20
A simple squeeze is all you need for both brows.
This swatch is actually pretty enough to do 2 sets of brows!

I personally think the Make UP For Ever Aqua Brow are meant for users who have sparse brows and needed a lot of filling.  This is waterproof, smudge-proof and sweat-proof.

Some makeup artists like to apply the product straight from tube to brows and gently blend everything, as for me, I prefer to apply a small amount at the back of my hand and use a small angled brush or any small brush to grab a tiny amount and gently fill the sparse areas then shape the brows as needed.

I have to stress that a LITTLE goes a very long way so you have to layer as needed.  The product is extremely smooth and the shade 20 is actually on the light brown side.  I bought this shade when my hair was still light from the Light Ash Brown tone that was done by Hairshaft Salon.

Now, I find the product to be too light for my current hair and all I need to do is adjust with darker brow powder and probably set with a brow mascara to tint it darker.

Before and After

For once, I am happy to announce that there is such brow product that is pigmented JUST RIGHT.  Not too harsly pigmented (who wants harsh brows anyway?)  so you have room to build the product as needed.

As seen on my before and after photos, it can thicken my brows, fill in sprase areas and with a few swipe of brow mascara, I have full and even-looking brows.

The Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow is not for the faint-heart.  If subtle is your key word, go for brow pencils or brow powders, if you want more oomph for your brows like I do - pick this up and this will change your brow game!

  2. I have heavy hands and this could easily end in a disaster on my brows specially if I use darker shade.
