Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation Review

I kinda lose count how many powder foundations I've tried for the past 10 years (since I started Blogging).

But, I never stop reviewing new ones because I really use them a LOT and I am the type who wanted to try different brands as much as I can --- reason why turning into a Beauty Blogger was easy for me!

Recently, I was able to try Max FactorX Facefinity Compact Foundation.  The last one I tried is the Max Factor Creme Puff Powder which I like but I find using Powder Foundation is my thing for the fact that it gives more coverage.

Here's my take on Facefinity!

Firstly, the packaging is quite huge, slim but huge!  A rectangular shaped compact with soft round edges.  I don't know about you but I don't mind big compacts like this as long as they aren't bulky.

Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation Says ---
Protect and moisturise your skin with the convenience of a compact and the smooth coverage of satin finish.

 Shade for review: 03 Natural

AMW says ---

Pros

  • Can be used either wet or dry to adjust coverage.
  • Light to full coverage.
  • Can keep makeup last longer additional hour as compared to other powder foundations.
  • Can be used for ALL Skin Types.
  • Skin has a natural, smooth look.
  • Skin looks brighter and healthier.
  • No breakouts.
  • Smooth texture.

Cons

  • Packaging.  Some may find this too big for their liking.
  • Shade choices: I wish they come up with more warmer shades (Yellow Undertone)

Overall
A good coverage powder foundation that works for all skin types.

Tips

  • If you have oily skin, best to use the sponge that comes with the compact and apply DRY with patting motion.  This will lessen the oil and at the same time set your makeup.
  • If you have dry skin like I do, a Kabuki Brush is the best tool to use with a dabbing motion.  The brush won't move your makeup at the same time, it won't absorb excess moisture from your face.
  • If you plan to use it dry, use dry all the way.  Same with wet, once you wet it, use it wet ALL the way.
  • Wash sponge before use and wash it at least once weekly (dry skin), twice weekly (oily skin) to prevent breakouts.

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

To whom do I recommend this to?
This would be perfect as a "setting powder" with additional Oil Control for users with oily skin.
Dry skin users can still use this but choose the right tool.

Where to purchase and how much?
At Max Factor counters locally priced at Php950.00.

this shade has more pink undertone to it.

The sponge is made with good quality.  You can use and reuse, wash several times!

Since I have dry skin, I prefer to use a flat Kabuki Brush in applying my Facefinity Compact Foundation.  This will prevent exfoliation (constant rubbing) which will lead to drier looking skin.

Before and After
The shade looks natural on photos but has a bit of a pink undertone to it under the sun.
I like how this can cover redness, undereye darkness without concealer.

This compact is promising, again I just wish they come up with more warmer shades.  That's just me!  But if you have cooler undertone, I think this can be something worth trying!
