Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Review

Maybelline has been doing well with their lip products.  I remember the Maybelline Colorsensationial Moisture Extreme Color was a hit to me thus I put a lot of those inside my professional KIT.  Then it gets better when Maybelline was able to join the Matte lipstick bandwagon with their Creamy Matte Lipsticks, they were really good I exchanged the Moisture Extreme Color to Creamy Matte inside my PRO KIT.

Then they excites everyone with The Powder Mattes, I love them so much I created a post sharing my favorite shade picks.  And within a span of less than a year, who would've though they would outdo themselves ...again?

The Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink is by far my FAVORITE type of Maybelline lipstick to date!  Seriously, I "Instagram-storied" this so many times and even shared the saved videos on my Facebook page!  That is how SOLD I am with this particular line.

On Me

Out of the bunch, I love LOVER the most.  But if I wanted something nude minus the sick feel, Loyalist would be a perfect bet!  For a red that looks perfect for anyone, Pioneer is a great cool-tone bright color.  For someone who dislikes Orange Red lip color, Heroine is surprisingly nice on photos.

30 Romantic, 35 Creator, 40 Believer, 45 Escapist, 50 Voyager

On Me

Romantic is a bright pink shade that screams "Kris Aquino".  Out of this bunch, my top pick would be Voyager since it has a brown tone that I like.  Escapist is the darkest, vampiest shade out of the 10 shades.

Loyalist

A nude color that would work more on users with medium to darker complexion.  Fair-skinned gals can still work this lip color with darker eye makeup.

 Dreamer

This color felt like cotton candy on my lips!  The color is so dainty and sweet but be careful as this can also make fair skinned gals look sick!  Add a bit of a brown colored eyeshadow on the sides of your lips to create dimension and depth.

Lover

Claiming this everyone's favorite and I always end up picking this on a daily basis!  Been using this so many times I can't keep track!

Pioneer

A very cute cool-tone red lipstick!  I love how this can whiten the teeth and brighten the face.

Heroine

If you like reddish orange lip color this is a perfect bet.

I personally think this color would look great on Morena girls!  

Romantic

As much as the name calls for Romance, I felt this color is a bit too bright in person!  Maybe because I have dark, pigmented lips to start with.  I like to mix this with Loyalist to tone down the brightness.

Creator

A super bright lavender lip color!  I'm not a fan of this shade but I can imagine girls who are into loud lip colors would appreciate this.

Believer

Believer is a deep plum color!  I have a similar one from Inglot and this one is less drying!

Escapist

The darkest, vampiest shade of all!  I personally don't use this much because it isn't my personality to use such color! 

Voyager

Voyager is a nice deep brown color that screams Beverly Hills 90210 (I'm sure a lot of you can't relate! hahaha)  Or Melrose Place maybe?  Hahahah, Google them my friends!  But yeah, this is a nice dark lip color that would work even for fair-skinned gals like me.

According to Maybelline, achieving perfectly inked lips for up to 16 hours can happen with the Superstay Matte In Liquid Lipstick.  So I tested them out and here are my thoughts ---

• My longest-wearing lipstick to date.
• Stays on lips yet feels extremely comfortable to wear.
• Does not dry out my lips or lips do not feel tight.
• No lip feathering.
• Does not transfer on cups, utensils, etc...
• Stays from application until removal without retouch!  I was shocked!
• I wish they come up with better, everyday shades!  Most of the shades are too bright for my liking so I wish they create more Nudes and Browns.
• Lip colors can be mixed together to tone down or create new shades.
• WORTH THE HYPE!

I am in love with the Super Stay Matte Ink and again, I wish they create more shades for the coming months!  I can't stop wearing them as they literally stay through eating, drinking and a whole lot of talking!  The color stays even on lips like it was hugging the lips yet it does not dry even users with super dry/dehydrated lips.  Great job Maybelline!
