A Second Skin Blush from Make Up For Ever

The original HD Blush from Make Up For Ever are the ones housed in a pump packaging and as beautiful as they are, they are also tricky to use for regular "Janes".  Thankfully, this year, they launched their newly improved HD Blush and even more improved packaging!

Since this product is said to have a cream-to-powder satin finish, I prefer to use my fingers in application as shown on photo below and gently pat evenly until the product dries off to a matte powder consistency.  Thankfully, I don't need to work fast like other liquid or cream blush as the warmth of my fingers can actually help in moving the product and once I'm happy, leave it for a good 20-30 seconds and it'll stay like that the whole day!

The major question is: Do I apply this before or after powder foundation?  

I definitely recommend to apply this on top of any liquid/cream face product (think of your concealer, foundation or BB creams), but I like to apply this before I set with powder!  So if you are a powder foundation type of girl with coverage, apply MORE of this product so it will still show through even if you set with a powder!

As for me, since I have normal skin on the cheeks area, I actually can get away without setting it with powder as the Make Up For Ever HD Blush actually finishes off with a matte, powder-like finish itself.

As for the shade, I am in love with how natural it looks!  I can apply just a layer or 2 and I always get complimented on how fresh I look!  If I wanted more dimension on my cheeks, I would apply another layer and I would look more made-up than usual.  I like the matte, powder finish and yet, it gives a nice glow-from-within that I can't seem to pinpoint!  People think it's LOVE, as for me, it's the BLUSH + LOVE :P

And if you are not a fan of such shade, worry no more!  They have a wide array of shades to choose from, tan, peach, pink, reds and a whole lot more!  Make sure to visit their stores and swatch on testers before you commit a pan!  Because seriously, it is worth it!
