So I have been a fan of Glowing Skin since the start of 2018! I don't even mind putting facial oils in my foundation to achieve that glowing skin look!
Why? Because glowing skin makes anyone look younger, makes your skin looks healthier and best of all? You look like you had weekly facial visits!
Agree?
The downside about putting facial oils in your makeup routine is how your skin will look greasy, oily and dirty at the end of the day considering our almost 40 degrees weather in the Philippines. So because I know most readers have normal/combination and oily skin, I've thought of doing a Glowing Skin look using products that won't add up to the natural oil of your skin, instead, it lessens oil but gives additional glow!
A good deal right?
I got that glow on my first photo using Pixi By Petra Glow-y Gossamer Duo
in shade Delicate Dew.
Php1,050.00 Available at Glamourbox
Super silky gossamer-soft powder to create a lit-from-within luminosity. Perfectly pigmented with a creamy skin-like texture, it looks natural in any light. Use on cheek & brow bones and anywhere you want to add a touch of glow.
Comes in 2 palettes --- Subtle Sunrise and Delicate Dew
Subtle Sunrise has a more golden, sun-like tone (due to the presence of yellow tone highlighter) while Declicate Dew has more browns and pinks to it.
Swatch:
Delicate Dew
Top: Almost off-white highlighter with a pinkish silver sheen.
Bottom: A fair golden champagne glow.
Both shades can be used on its' own or mixed together. For me, I found the best way to use such palette is by using the top color (lightest) on my cheekbones applies using clean fingers because I wanted to drama! The Oomph of having very high cheekbones!
Then, to make the highlight or glow not too distracting and have a more gradient effect, I use the bottom shade (softer-focus highlighter) and apply just a tiny bit at the bottom of the light highlighter to create that gradient glow!
In this way, the effect of the light highlighter will come off more natural than applied alone.
Now for the noseline, I prefer to use the golden (bottom) highlighter to make the nose bridge prominent without looking like I had a fluorescent lamp attached on that area!
Of course, you can go on and on and practice using the palette in several ways! You can apply a bit at the center of your "legs" for that glowing yet longer-looking legs! Apply on your collarbone whenever you plan on wearing off-shoulder tops! You can even apply a thin layer and dust it all over your arms and shoulder for that sexy glow!
And when you want the glowing to go up to another notch! You may give Pixi By Petra Liquid Fairy Lights a try!
I personally don't like sparkly eyes for this day and age but when you want to highlight your eyeshadow, this is a great eyeshadow "topper". I wore this alone in this blogpost for the sake of review but I think this would look even better on top of an eyeshadow --- a brown eyeshadow? A copper or taupe shadow would look vavavoom beneath this!
Pixi by Petra Liquid Fairy Lights
Shade: Rose Gold
Php850.00 available at Glamourbox
Light up the eyes with Pixi's Liquid Fairy Lights!Packed with sparkles, this long-lasting liquid eyeshadow goes on smoothly on the eyes without feathering! Achieve a gorgeous glimmering eye look!Key ingredients: chamomile & rose extracts to soothe and hydrate

This is great when you wanted that overall glowing look! Now to keep the look subtle, I did not apply any shadow on and kept my cheeks at bare minimum (no blush or maybe apply a tiny bit of bronzer to retain that warm glow!)
I also applied a thin layer of my favorite Make Up For Ever Lip Booster and pat a bit of the Rose Gold Liquid Fairy Lights at the center of my lips.
So if you ask me to create a Modern Day goddess look that can be worn anywhere (office, meetings, parties), this will be the look on top of my head made possible using 2 newest glowing products from Pixi by Petra.
Do you like the overall look?
Would you wear such look?
Keep smilin'
You look so extra..I tend pass on highlighter before because of my oily skun but now I kind of confident to ock atleast highlighted nose or highlighted cheek but not both of them in the same time.
